@@northernfarmsim Hmmmm, dont see alot of blue in my little part of The Netherlands.. More Deutz, Valtra and MF. The odd blue one you see is usually a 1980's/1990's Ford (love those! those older turbos :D)

Living in Alaska for 4 years. Black out curtains for the summer and planning breaks during the work day around when the sun was out in the winter was a way of life!

@@jeremyhoward7213 amazing how we adapt depending on our environment…I remember watching a show about a mountain biker in Alaska who had custom mounted a shotgun and a pistol to his bike so he could defend himself against bears while out riding….things are little different out that way, lol.

I have that roller. It takes quite a while to roll the field, but it saves on buying fertilizer. Great episodes back to back. 👍

@@Blindarchangel82 yeah it definitely isn’t as fast as some of the wider ones… Do you think if I used a wider roller I would still get the fertilized state?

@northernfarmsim No, you won't. I've already tested it. Unfortunately, there's only small rollers that give a fertilizer state for grass. Also, never use it on front with AI... they'll miss a bunch of small spots all over. The rear is the only way to go.

Definitely seed and weed/hoe in the same day. After the 2nd growth stage the weeds pretty much take over. Im loving the updates you are making. Now time for a new frontier episode lol.

@ oh yeah, that’s a good amount of hours! I just hit 300 total hours on FS25 (according to Steam) and that’s split up over both series, playing with my kid and 2 deleted first attempts at the survive 25 challenge.

as far as weeds go,you can run a weeder or a hoe right after you plant or the next month. first month after planting it's going to be small weeds and gets worse everyday you don't get rid of the weeds. a hoe gets rid of small and medium weeds. spraying gets rid of any stage as long as it's not at the harvest stage. Grass is the only crop you get Fertilizer from rolling. on crops rolling adds 2.5% and mulching(right after you harvest) adds an extra 2.5%. if anyone wants to correct me go ahead but i think i'm right? lol good job buddy, can't wait for more videos.

Awesome info thanks! I'm sure even though you gave me that I'll still screw something up, lol. The mulching is a new one to me...so If I harvest a sunflower field for example and then mulch it right after, before cultivation (if needed) and then plant in again, I'll see a small yield bonus?

@@northernfarmsim yes, it has to be right after harvest as far as i understand it. the mulching tool tip is weird to me because it pops up even while harvesting a crop with wheat for example chop it, it will say your mulching on the map but mulching gives a different texture than if you mulch with equipment...if that makes sense. so if that's the case you can choose extra yield but lose out on straw OR you can get straw and mulch after. you get more out of it but you use up more time. i think only cereal crops do this too by the way. corn doesn't give you a mulching bonus when harvesting it. if this is confusing i'm sorry. i watch alot more FS than play.

@ no all good… I think it’s making sense. It’s all pretty confusing anyways, lol. Sometimes I just stick to the basics… Cultivate the field, plant the crops and then harvest them. Throw in some lime and you’re good to go, lol.

Scandinavia isn’t the only place with longer sunlight and longer darkness. The Northwest Territories 🇨🇦 is the same way. I see it all in Yellowknife all the time. I was hard to get used to but not too bad

That skip the spot and the field is probably because the planter is rigid frame. It got lifted off the field because of the hillside next to the road.

The GamingJoy sawmills are so cheap that you can do like you said and just place them all over the place and drag trees into. One tree more than pays for the mill.

part 2: two videos for the price of one, I'll take that! after you saw all the metrics on both parts of the video, was it worth splitting? I imagine it might have scared a few people off if it was one 2h long episode. and perhaps they stuck around for at least one half of it. but you tell me if that did anything funny to your metrics. some creators do short episodes (FS-short 30-40m) and then do 3-5h long supercuts. it's not easy to consume those in one sitting but not to bad to have as a background to whatever you do for work. or in case of gen-z to have it as a background to whatever video you watch in foreground while playing

@@s1vtre I’ll know better by the end of the weekend what happened for viewership….I’m guessing it’s easier to consume 2 shorter videos rather than 1 really long one but we’ll see. My videos of late build momentum into day 2…. I’d love to be able to make shorter videos but then I’d have to plan more and edit better….I don’t have the capacity for that, My day job is already packed with planning and editing and FS is meant to be a fun side project…. But maybe as KZbin starts paying me more money I can afford an editor and then I could just ship everything off… That might be cool.

roller shouldnt remove weeds, just remove need rolling and add 2,5% yield bonus. Hoe is best, fast, wide and can remove small and medium weeds, btw contracts for weeding paying realy well

@@svobik91 yeah not sure where I got that weed/roller idea…I think I was confusing stones maybe. I’ve never done anything for weeds other than spray….would you run the hoe once the weeds have grown?

@@northernfarmsim typicaly i seed and weed in same day, but with hoe you have up to 2 grow stages worth of time for weeding, with mechanical weeding there is 0% negative efect on yield (with spraying gronw weeds you have some negative efect - dead plants in field)

@ in FS22 I’d spray herbicide right after planting and never had weeds….probably have to do that again….
