It's amazing to see how much knowledge Mr Woo has. It's always a joy to watch and I would"ve never thought how amusing it is to watch. Looking forward to the Leica episodes.

Love Mr. Woo's presentations : no "umms & erhrs " ; really polished ,concise and to the point a great deal of knowledge and information in a short space of time with some gentle humour as a bonus. I would like to thank him personally for his advice to me on the Topcon /Exakta lenses. This gentleman is a treasure ! On the point of quality control on the Exactas of which I have about five from the simple Exa to the RTL 1000 I've noticed that the later ones esp. the RTL ( essentially a Pra;ktica VLC with an Exacta lens mount) the exposure prism was not reliable and very fiddly to use as well as shutter & mirror sticking problems. Much as Mr. Woo said the quality seemed to wane , although I loved the closer focus and brighter viewing that the RTL lenses possesed, I eventually gave up using it. Keep showing these presentations . They're gems and a lesson in what good KZbin videos should be.

Mr Woo is a living legend! I could listen to him all day long! Have you considered using a second camera on a tripod vor the steady shots of Mr Woo?

If I remember correctly, the first Exacta cameras were made in 127 format before they went to 35mm format.

Question for Mr Woo: What makes the Leica lenses so special? What design feature do they possess that gives them the "Leica look" and makes them uncopiable?
@michaelcase857410 ай бұрын
Exacta also made cameras of different formats. I know early on the made an127 format SLR And even a 21/4 Sq. I think.

Excellent content. Would Mr Woo be able to do an episode on the Swiss Alpa?

And Oskar Barnack initially only got one week of trial engagement, according to what Ernst Leitz I told Walther Benser. :-)

That's so funny. Not long ago, I took my wife and grandson to the Cabazon Dinasaur Park. I took my Sony a6700 with Sigma zoom lens and had a ball taking pictures of my grandson. In passing a man and his son, I mentioned to the boy to get a 'camera' and old pop said his iPhone was just as good. His phone was in his pocket while I was taking picture after picture with my Sony. People don't appreciate a camera and think their phone is good enough. Like you, I have been shooting pictures for many decades. I started with a Pentax Spotmatic F around 1972, got into public affairs in the USAF, where I got great exposure taking lots of pictures from military aircraft to young troops working those aircraft. With a camera, you will take pictures of things and people that you wouldn't with a phone.
