I found a link to your blog post from Pinterest last night. Previously, I've watched two separate hour-long tutorials on planned pooling and could NOT figure it out. I've frogged so much. However, after just *reading* your blog post, I was able to successfully pool! I can barely believe it considering how many times I've tried using those other tutorials videos. THANK YOU so much for sharing your knowledge!

Oh thank you 🙏 so much for the Super Thanks! You’re my first one! I’m sooo happy you figured it out using my tutorial. It’s definitely a tricky crochet technique. It feels so good to finally get it! Thanks again, this made my day!

I’m working with lion brand bundle of love in the color chamomile rn. It’s the exact same color order! I learned to do it with the moss stitch and skipping a stitch every other row. Beautiful argyle. Can’t wait to see how this one turned out! 🙂

@@JcareInternational Thank you so much! I’m so happy it’s simple. I’m loving the attention this getting as I did it years ago. Yesterday I went through and found a ton of new yarns, and going to make a big list :)

Watching through other color pooling videos, seems the extra chain one of the moss stitch pattern might be affecting getting the stitch count to gome out without a lot of fiddling around with tension

I totally agree!

Great tutorial! Just wondering, what kind of yarn are you using? would love to make my friend's new granddaughter a blanket using those colors and it seems very convenient how you got the same amount of stitches per color sequence. Again, great job with this video! You have yourself a happy new subscriber!

+Kelly Perkins Thanks so much! I’m so happy you’re here. Let me look back at the video to see the yarn. I think this was a Hobby Lobby yarn :)

what happens if we need one extra stitch at end and is color of next sequence- I see on the graph that happens. Do we still try and do exact count next row for each color- or we won't have enough yarn maybe?
@stardustgoldcrochet Жыл бұрын
I don't think I totally understand what you mean. Are you trying to do an increase?
@stardustgoldcrochet Жыл бұрын
I understand. Don’t chain at the end of the row, just work the next stitch on the top of the next stitch after turning.

I am having trouble with the planned pooling website chart. I've put in the correct colors and numbers and found an argyle pattern to use. Want to make a large afghan, so I put in 216 stitches. When I print out the pattern, it's so fuzzy because of the amount of stitches that I can't follow it. Any suggestions? Thank you!

So what if we want to make a sewater. Should we keep chaning until we get the width we want?
@stardustgoldcrochet2 жыл бұрын
That’s a good question! You actually will need to play with the planned pooling calculator until you get a pattern that will match your stitch count for the starting row of your sweater. For instance: you want to create a front panel that is 18” wide. You’ll need to crochet a chain, then a row or two of single crochet. Then determine how many single crochet are in your first row. Then input that into your planned pooling calculator.

i get a different number of stitches per color lol

Planned pooling is hard. It's all about tension and counting. It may take some practice to get your numbers right. It's very individualized too. You have to create a swatch like the video says - did you check out part 1?kzbin.info/www/bejne/iKrdq5yEZr6VldE
