We tried cutting back on the jugs but without a water maker hauling water back to the boat out gunkholing it simply requires them. Diesel too. Hauling jugs of fuel back in the dinghy from a gas station is a lot more budget-friendly than fuel docks that often charge a dollar more even though the tax is a dollar less. We go months and months between pulling into a marina, so jugs it is.

Yeah it’s a tough one for some boats. Since we are mostly coastal US getting water and fuel is not an issue. We do carry one jug of each, but they are no longer on the rail. They reside at the mast lashed to the Granby bars. I do the same thing with gas stations vs fuel docks. 👍

Teresa did you get sea sick on this passage? I remember you on Daphey sea sick and still on watch. Lovely boat.

I think there was some seasickness during the early part of the passage. But after a few days we all were acclimated.

Ah, how nice to have a ships cat 🐈 how did you manage the, er, logistics of that on such a long passage?
