A quick trip to celebrate my brother’s retirement in Washington DC kept me away Thursday. Thank you for using the magic of KZbin and making your demos available anytime, anywhere!

Wow this little Fox is quite the cutie patootee!! 😍 I adore that expression and dynamic pose. I'm glad I got to jump in and out at least. I hope to have time to work on my only black/ erasers/ gold portrait soon. I've been able to add a few steps, "showing up", (complete with black pastel all over my face! 😂 ) But slow layers, and not needing to rush is grace for me and a huge win. Somebody wanted me to put up the in progress pics up in FB. Maybe I will😅. I also sketched out a piece I REALLY REALLY want to create. It's inspired by several of your pieces which I cobbled together. It's based on several souls long gone from this world, but are still connected to me here in this realm. I love Angel symbology so much, so I'm going to do that. Her hair is inspired by that last beauty you did a few lives ago, with the cool nest and birds. When i sketched it, I thought.. "ohhh I think I know where to start now!" And I wasn't freaking out. What a wonderful gift you gave me! You have taken away the Pastel mystery and my fear of the medium. It's like you packed a whole duffle bag full of tips and tools, packed me a sack lunch, a chai tea, and kicked me out of the the "play it safe" house. "Fly little one! Fly!" You have no idea just how many lives you have touched. It's is a ripple affect that's reaching the most distant of shores. Your time, patience, humor, and open, giving heart is a gift you provide so freely. You touch the spirits of everyone you interact with and your light transcends the Art World. It touches us personally, filling us up with a cup of, "ok, I feel better now after getting my dose of Dawn today! I'm ready now to go tackle xyz." All because you smiled that warm, smile of acceptance and let us in. I thank God for you! Love and Blessings from Lakewood. 💛🖤💛

Stacy you are such a gem 💕 your comment sure filled my heart ❤️ Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. It means so much to me. I never could have imagined that I would be teaching and live streaming yet here I am. Comments like this give me even more confirmation that I'm on the right path. Thank you! I'm excited to to see some of these ideas you are sketching up. I know one thing for sure ART HEALS I did created a lot of my spiritual work after my Mom passed and it helped me more than I think I even know. Sending you love from Oregon 💕🤗💫🌈

The before and after on this one really stands out for me. I think I’m finally beginning to put it all together, where the stained glass turns to one lovely, soft, cohesive piece. You have truly inspired me to keep showing up and I appreciate these demos so very much. 🌈🩵

Hi Dawn, I have Been getting your newsletter and watching all your videos so far over the last 6 months or so. I am from Australia and have only watched the live videos a couple of times. I really enjoy your teaching and the pan pastels. I am new to art altogether. I have always wanted to try art, and I have found you and absolutely love your pieces. I have purchased some pan pastels and follow along with the replay. I am loving it. I have also bought a few of your lessons but haven't done them yet. I haven't done art before so was wondering if there is anything I should do to get the real basics down? You are fantastic and I love your you tube classes. You are soooo talented. Sorry I wrote my comments in as below but didn't realize my friend had signed in on my computer. Thank you for your wonderful videos and the precious time you spend with us explaining your journey. I greatly appreciate it.

I'm not sure which name I should use. Gail or Loren :). Thank you for taking the time to leave me such a wonderful comment. I'm so glad you found me and I'm honored that I've inspired you to explore PanPastel. All of my classes are set up so that if your a beginner you will be able to follow along as I share everything step by step. Also I give the line art so you can focus on learning how to use PanPastel. The best tip I can give you is to watch the lesson's and supporting videos first. Then work through the lesson. This will allow you to take in more information with out being so overwhelmed. Showing up and going for it is 90% of the challenge. Be patient with your journey. If youo have any questions please don't hesitate to email me art@dawnvanderstoep.com
