Part 2: The 2020 Secret Santa Special

Secret Santa is back and what a year it's been!
The EastIdahoNews.com team has been helping a local man gift more than $500,000 this holiday season. A lot more. Secret Santa is a real person who wants to remain anonymous and hopes to help as many people as he can.
We have been surprising deserving people and families every day since the beginning of November with gifts unique to their circumstances.
Here is part 2 of our 2020 Secret Santa special. This includes surprises from Thanksgiving until today. And we will continue posting more videos until New Year's Eve!

You know.....This is my third year in a row watching these and I am grateful. I am the baby in the family and I am now older and live alone in Texas. My family has since all passed away and I do spend each and every holiday, birthday and anniversary alone . I began watching these videos years ago and they have brought me much joy and SO MANY MANY MANY MANY tears. I dont really know why, but I am so thankful that the secret Santa is there for people who need it. This year when Covid hit (March) I became instantly unemployed and since I was an independent contractor and not self employed that meant no help from unemployment either, but I have made it through and am holding my own. I see people like this and I want to hug them and tell them that they matter and that their lives have value because that I all I have to give. I want to talk to the secret Santa's and remind them that although their monetary gifts are overwhelmingly lovely and appreciated...it is their SACRIFICE and LOVE that means so very much more. I know that EIN will never come to Plano Texas and that's OK..I will hold out till the savings runs out and then I will cross that bridge. For now I want to say Thank you to Nate and the secret Santa's for giving me this precious video (my 2020 Christmas gift). I have watched it twice now and although I dont have the love around me...I feel it... Although I dont have the gifts that these people have received I am STILL so very much blessed. There are good people in this world and I am a recipient of goodness as I watch these. How do you comment, how to you truly express the joy. Love is still in the hearts of people and it shows.

The family with the white van was so touching. You could tell how much of a weight was lifted off the father. As a father myself, one of the biggest worries we have is being able to provide for our families, it's so important to us. You could tell how much it meant to him.

With tears in my eyes the secret Santa show reminds me how immensely blessed I am in my life regardless of the trials and tribulations and losses. It’s always been my dream to win the lottery and do exactly this. So the next best thing is watching someone else do it. Bless you secret Santa!! i love what you guys do.you asked about other peoples activities.I dont begin to match secret santa. I dont go to any church but i pay tithe to people. $500.00 to my niece whose son comitted suicide. I never met him but i still havent gotten over this. I gave my barber probable $600.00 or $700.00 or more she. She is struggling. I gave my old mechanic probably around $700.00 or morehe has major health issues. I gave $140.00 to a strange lady in grocery store who had a little girl.This was a hard one. Im getting ready to send $400.00 to my older brother who kept his nephew and family for several months. ive given a lot away to the homeless.This isnt braging, just ideas for other people.

My favorite gifts are those supplying items like glasses, hearing aids, teeth, wheelchairs, bathrooms..items people need and live without. So grateful secret Santa has the compassion to supply these items. The number of young persons who die in this area is unbelievable. So many life challenges. Adversity may be a blessing for growth but human angels are necessary.

I have a few friends up there and my girlfriends family lives there and the people are so humble. I love visiting. Try anything Huckleberry up there. Especially their shakes! We don't have anything like that down here but I get it Everytime!!!!

My only wish in life is to be able to someday, do exactly this for people in the community and in need. These videos bring me such joy, I cannot express how they actually saved me this past year when I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Life was rough, I was in the process of building a house with my then fiancé who after 7 years left me on top of everything else. I truly thought my life was ending these past 12 months. These videos however single handedly kept me going. They kept my faith in humanity and eventually, made it my life goal. I am happy to report I am now cancer free and have since moved on and restarted life in Colorado. Life everyday brings me joy. I find the silver lining in everything and it is litterally because of Nate Eaton and Secret Santa I have to thank for getting me through the darkest days I think anyone can imagine. Looking forward to watching 2021 and hoping one day I can be the person passing out the joy of charity😊

Oh my Lord! I love watching these videos and wish there were more people in this crazy world to bless others in this way! I would love to be blessed from someone as I have been ill for over one year! And now need to sleep in a recliner I bought from goodwill as I can not get in and out of my bed. But I am alive so I can survive anything thrown my way. You don’t need to be a millionaire! You can get a tax write off for donating! I think in the U.S., it’s a dollar for dollar tax deduction. You donate instead of paying taxes. It’s a win win! Even $50 can make a difference. When I learned about this, it was a game changer for me.
