@@SharonRoseGabetMy grandmother watched it every afternoon around 3pm. There's an episode from 1976 , a man chasing a lady through a house that absolutely gave me the creeps. I was only 7 years old so I didn't understand what it was about. Does anyone remember this episode? I'd love to get some info, thanks

Same here! Especially how the announcer says "The Edge Of Night" 🌆. Did you see the episode where some dude was chasing a lady through a house. Around 1976? My grandmother just happened to be watching and when I watched that scene it was really spooky. Any info would be appreciated 😊

Thank you again for this. Maeve Maguire is so chic - I love how Nicole refuses to let smarmy Clay Jordan get the best of her. I also love the conversation between Quentin and Brandy, which feels so real, very believable brother and sister. When Brandy says something dramatic and then says they could write a song on that - it's how real people talk. Great scenes with the Karrs too.

Our ABC affiliate refused to clear The Edge of Night because apparently reruns of The Big Valley were more important. So it aired on a fuzzy UHF station as the lead-in to Lucy Show reruns. Great program flow lol. What a treat to see performers like Sharon Gabet on social media sharing their memories and treasures like this. Thank you, Sharon.

I liked Brandy Henderson back in the day, but I never understood why Adam Drake was so indecisive. To me, there was no comparison: Nicole Travis Drake (and Maeve McGuire) was gorgeous and irresistible.

I have seen a 1974 episode featuring Dixie Carter as Brandy; it's so nice to see a 1976 episode featuring her as well! It is such a shame that the networks were careless with daytime dramas back then and didn't save all of the episodes ): It's so much fun to watch the pre-1979 episodes that have been saved! Recently I saw a 1972 As the World Turns episode and it is SO different! So appreciative of all of these Edge episodes! I have seen everything from 1979-84 that has been made available, so much fun to see the few from before then!

OMG!!! I can't even begin to describe what I am feeling. The opening (my fave), Seeing Michael Stroka. I watched the entire Dark Shadow soap (65-71) from 2012 to 2016. I knew he looked familiar. Now, I remember where I know him from. That scene with Nancy and Timmy was was top notch. I got so excited just hearing the name Danny Micelli. I was hoping he was showing up next. Then there was Johnny Dallas. I can't believe how much I remember of these people. I was 9 or 10 when this aired. Too bad there was no Serena. Then, of course, the closing. Thank you Sharon. This was absolutely incredible. loooooove it.

I would love to hear them talk about that. Ann Flood certainly saw a lot of actors come and go on Edge. Of course, I'll bet John Beradino, Emily McLaughlin, Rachel Ames, and Denise Alexander must have felt the same way about the major changes that occurred on General Hospital. IMO, the change in All My Children from 1970 through the mid-80s was much more gradual.

@@rhsharp, All My Children remained stable for nearly two decades thanks to Agnes Nixon being involved in some capacity or another. It was her favorite creation, and she loved the show dearly. Its decline began when Nixon's role was reduced, and subsequent writers and producers turned it into something which eventually became unrecognizable, alienating long-time fans.

Interesting fact that Dixie was a sub Dorian for Nancy Pinkerton prior to this, and also had a few days on The Doctors as an old friend of Jason and Doreen Aldrich's. Of course Sharon went on to play Dorian sister, Melinda (no Dorian present at the time unfortunately), but an interesting little bit of six degrees of soap-a-ration.

@@SharonRoseGabet Sharon, I think the reason I remember your first scenes is because it was the first time I had ever seen an actor take over a role ( I was in grade nine lol). I liked Juanin Clay, so it was a bit jarring.....BUT not for long! Lol. I felt you took " RAVEN" to a whole new level..No easy feat.I think there are few actors that can accomplish this. Brandy was a good girl, but the writers made her a possible suspect that was trying to kill Nicole when she came back to Monticello after having escaped the Island of the mob boss. Sorry I don't remember his name. This is when I really started watching the show a lot, and each Friday's cliff hanger, it seemed, was a gun was pointing at Nicole or some other weapon to kill her, and everyone had to wait until Monday to see what happened.
