People spend the vast majority of their time inside their homes and other indoor environments, where they can be exposed to a wide range of potentially harmful chemicals. However, limited information is known about how exposure to indoor chemicals affects human health. A report from the National Academies, Why Indoor Chemistry Matters, calls for further discussion about making indoor chemistry research a national priority.
Join the National Academies November 14, 2024 for a hybrid townhall event. Discussion topics will include, investigating the chemical and radioactive exposures in water, land, and air; understanding how these exposures, and mixture of exposures, impact people’s health and affect the indoor environment in their homes; and exploring available and potential future solutions to improve health. Members of the public are encouraged to register and attend. We hope to see you there!
