In this video i will be showing you how to make a spreadsheet model for poisson didstribution that helps with football betting, all from scratch. However this time upgrading it so that we can get first and second half specifics and adding thousands of monte carlo simulations. This is just a tester with games as an example and many many games would need to be tested before being implemented. Remember this is just for fun, please gamble/trade responsibly and carefully. This is not financial advice, rather it is just me having some fun finding and testing new trading strategies on the betfair exchange.

Thank you again for sharing. Just finished this tutorial. More interested in first/second half goals. Is it possible to link the dashboard with dashboard first half/second half? So I don't have to keep going to all 3 for the results.

Yeah that can 100% do you mean in terms of the teams being mapped over m? Or do you can see all dashboards at once?

If I input say WHU v Brighton in the main dashboard then the dashboard first and second halves will also be updated with WHU v Brighton. Hope this makes sense?

Oh that’s very simple. So just in the first half and second half, update the values where you see the names of the teams and make them reference the cells in the original dashbaord. Hopefully that makes sense - should be something like =‘Dashboard’L15. Obviously it not be L15 as I can’t remember the exact reference but you see what I mean

I remember in part two you explained the problem with the Poison model with outliers, so would the simulations model you do here help mitigate those outliers?
