Very nicely done love the steering wheel. Best vans on the road I have a 1996 mwb was 15 seat now 6. I am second owner had it 3 years. 32000 miles only from new. it has a 2.0 dohc petrol engines. 28 miles to gallon. I am never going to sell it

I don't care what anybody says but The MK4/ MK5 Smiley Ford Transit is the most sexiest van ever made. That particular model of Transit was just a Beast of a Van. I remember my dad bought a 1990 semi high roof LWB double axel Ford transit in 1998 it was an ex courier van, it travelled the lenght & breadth of Ireland for 8 solid years. It had 104000 miles on the clock when he bought it, The van had a very good service history but my father had that van for for 7 years also travelling long journeys for work but i remember the Van never ever giving him any problems ( ; That Van would start first time everytime no matter how cold it was outside. He eventually got rid of it when she was 15 years old & rusting away with 215000 thousand miles on that banana engine that was still beating strong well after the body gave up ( ; The engines just went forever. Well! That's my Transit Story anyway lol. Btw your Van is an Absolute Beauty, She really is.

Yes it does!!! I trust your history about the transit of your dad. I sold the van the last month because here in Barcelona the mayor don’t let drive in to the city diesel cars older than year 2006, it’s a shame!!!

@@albertcars4001 I'm sure, I have the same engine in a boat, the engine broke, I fixed it, during the journey I found out how good the engines are, now I know the engine and want a camper van I am tempted by a Mk5 to do. conversion, yours gave me hope it could actually look good at the end:-)

Múchas gracias por comentar. El volante y la piña son de la marca Mountney. La piña es la de un Escort mk1, y el volante hace 44 cm (17 pulgadas).

En esa medida no veo nada más alto de 99 (Goodyear) y la documentación de la Transit dice 102/100 (lo digo por tener una preocupación menos en la ITV). Por otro lado, ¿qué tal se comporta con un perfil tan bajo? ¿No pierde bastante capacidad de absorber baches, resaltos, etc. respecto a la medida original?
