Another thought, Paul. As the embossing powder is finely ground plastic particles, you may be able to put any old colour down and then spray it the colour you desire. I'll have to get some and try it.

Build is looking good Paul. The chrome wheel looks good with that purple. I am going to watch part 4.

Looking nice. I think semi gloss black rims would look nice. Focus paint looks good

nice work on the interior Paul. If you are going to use Tamiya paint to adhere flock / embossing powder, rather than x22, use XF86 flat clear. That way if your embossing powder has any thin areas they aren't shiny from the gloss clear.

I think Gunmetal wheels would really go nicely with that purple (lovely colour btw) Paul - but then I have a total dislike of silver wheels! As to the grey embossing powder, what I sometimes do if I cant find the right colour is to use white and then spray it lightly with very thin acrylic paint of the colour needed - as long as you do very light coats it works pretty well.

For the wheels, Meteor gray would look spectacular with puuurple.Otherwise the stock chrome is pretty damn good and nicely detailed.

Smashing this one out, mate! Coming along nicely, too. I do like the wheels as is, shame you don't have a spare set to test some colours out.

Working with the flocking from Scale Production since I started with cars. Really good quality for a real good price. You should really check it out.

Seats really look cool.👌🏻 Question Paul. What alternative clear can one spray over Gravity colours or can you only clear cote Gravity colours with their 2k clear to get a polished mirror finish? I really want try out Gravity colours but find the 2k clear too pricey.

You can put any clear coat over really, but you will be hard pushed to beat 2k
@FM85540

Thanks for the reply. It looks 2k is the right way to go. At the moment it's LP clear for now. 2k is a bit dangerous...I don't have the space to safely spray 2k. Another route I want to try is a good couple of LP clear coats and micromesh polishing. I saw a modeler achieve mirror like finish with this process.

Hello Paul, porsche looks great! I stumbled across your channel and you inspired me to get into building model cars. I purchased sanding sticks and Apex airbrush etc off the website. Question, i see you use 2k clear, i can't get anything like that here in Canada, no Zero paint distributor. Any suggestions on something else i can use?...Tamiya clear or Mr Color Super Clear III?

What about a chromed or polished lip on the wheels? Or a light anthracite or light gun metal? Don’t worry about the effin’ flocking, it’s way down deep inside and will probably never be seen with the body on it. Odd that they said to put the highlights on first. Seems backwards to everything you learn about layering color. Stay safe 🍻🌲

come on Paul. remember the old saying "the day we were beat, we weren't there" try again to replicate that gold. i know the colour you are talking about and feel it would be perfect.
