Beautiful!! Thank you!! What varnish do you use? ❤️❤️❤️
@leabellenurserie3 жыл бұрын
Thanks ! I use a mix of Golden polymer matte varnish and RebornFX matte varnish, or one or the other. Sometimes I use DecoArt ultramatt varnish.

If you could please answer one last question I'd so much appreciate it. I have all these vinal kits, I found out are just that will the varnish you mentioned and the pencils work for my vinal babies? I just learned from you today vinal isn't the same as Silicone, will everything work pretty much the same?
@trumimart58223 жыл бұрын
Your work is so good. Thank you for sharing. I cannot get my prismacolors to mark my babies' heads 😔
@leabellenurserie3 жыл бұрын
Thank you 😊 You must varnish with a very matte varnish. You can use a bit of cornstarch in it. It will help the pencil to grab on the surface.

Is it normal is the prisma pencil doesnt work on my vynil type? It is a silicone vynil but i didn' t prep it of put any varnish on yet
@leabellenurserie3 жыл бұрын
Silicone vinyl does not exist. Silicone and vinyl don't mix with eachother. If your kit was advertised like that it's definitely a counterfeit. Sorry !
@melodymiller3282 Жыл бұрын
At first when I started noticing when these other reborn artists kept saying Silicon, I'd asked myself, " Silicone? Because I'd ordered some kits and it never looked or felt like they were showing Because my kit didn't move like their's, so I started noticing the difference, I figured out it is a vinal kit.
@melodymiller3282 Жыл бұрын
I ordered mine from Bountiful Baby, now I ordered one that is supposed to be a soft vinal kit, this kit is the newest one they have, it really is so soft, I like it much better. I have all these kits I need to paint, they were SO ADORABLE I FELL IN LOVE WITH THEM
@melodymiller3282 Жыл бұрын
There was something I've always wanted to see if it would work that is, if you mix a paste on your kit and bake it would it actually turn out soft like Silicone? Soft?

You keep saying things like you know you don't do it very well and you are quite wrong dear one ! Your work is some of the very very best I've seen plus you teach very well. I wish I could follow all your French speaking tutorials but I do so appreciate you taking time to speak English (of which you also say you don't speak well and you certainly do!) Thankyou so so much! I thought I had painting down finally created a beautiful baby I'm very proud to show sell ECT but I jumped in on next one and I did a mistake I did at the very start a year ago it too me too long to not paint too thick and I did it I creased hands and they just look awful messy. The creases hands and feet I still struggle with I did this last baby I love by using layers of thin paint in creases not thicker mixture I just end up with a mess. I cooked the hands too it was late and idk why I heat set them. So now I'll have to buy brush cleaner stuff only thing I can find to get set paint off but then idk how to just get paint off small area n match it there's no way to so arms stripped I guess then to match to rest of baby? Idk maybe I should leave them messy n practice hair painting or drawing on a 150 kit. Ugh
@leabellenurserie Жыл бұрын
Thank you so much 🥰 Sometimes, it's easier to start again then trying to fix mistakes. It's possible to match a limb with the rest, but it will never be exactly the same. Just try to make it as close as possible.

Thankyou and I am surprised at how well it worked I use Genesis n another heat set oil so that helps I know. I began painting reborns (I have always painted canvas n hated acrylic always n I hated that I hated them cause they are the cheapest option...like I bought a small bottle of gamsol and lindseed oil for over 50 dollars US at local art store...it's ridiculous I know online is best but I seem to wait till im out to act so I can't wait for shipping.) It took too long for me to learn that I had to put the rules first like how to help paint stick to vinyl and thin staining it so thin and not to use flesh colored paints ECT...I'd get inspired by idea and disregard rules and acrylic is much harder to use I stripped kits over n over cause of one mistake five layers up n couldn't erase just mistake n not too far down just unforgiving paint dries fast not spreadable easy ECT. The ability to heat set a layer then paint and even if huge mistake only have to take down to heat set layer. Just easier but I'm having more headaches and stuffy nose ect

I have always painted on canvas with acrylic paint as I hate oils...so it was natural to me to reborn with acrylic too ! I know it is easier to correct mistakes with GHSP and it's something I regret sometimes. I have lear to correct small mistakes and strip kits when it was not possible to correct. The beauty of this art is that I am still learning after 7 years and hundreds of dolls. It's stimulating and challenging and keep it fun and exciting!
