Follow on just cause i was out doing food plots today. Found some clover mix called pasture booster. Was just over seeding a trail system but interested in how it stacks up to other clover mixes designed for deer.
@mountainbuck2 жыл бұрын
@@zMarshalls Sounds interesting! I haven't heard of Pasture Booster before. I see they sell it at Tractor Supply. Maybe I'll try it out sometime. Let me know how you like it!

Thanks for these 3 video's. Although they are not all available here in Canada. I at leats got to see live what to expect and approximate results and mix types. Very informative. Thanks. I will send $ to pay for some of those plot mixe and future stuff.

Chicory traditionally does better during hot dry periods. This is probably why it was the most palatable during this test.

Hey thanks so much Deer Hunting Dads TV! I really appreciate it! I think I’ll be adding that Foundation Clover to my line up. I it held up really well under grazing and the heat and it’ll be nice when it comes back the following year. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

There must be at least about 30 different formulas in deer clover for the possibility of using the deer seed plots approach, but I guess that there is subtle differences, anyone would have to use their own ideas about which one to use or even if you chose to use 2 or 3 of the strongest ,just thinking out loud
@mountainbuck2 жыл бұрын
Hey Wayne, good points. There are definitely tons of options for food plots. Lots to consider based on your situation.

Just because deer eat it on your land doesn't mean they will prefer it on someone else's but it is cool to see how they grow
@mountainbuck Жыл бұрын
Hey Brian, definitely true. It was interesting to see what they preferred during the test. Thanks for watching 👍🏻

I may have made a terrible mistake. I bought imperial no plow for an area with all day sunlight…
@mountainbuck Жыл бұрын
Hey ElektroBandit! You should do fine with full sun, but if I remember correctly, no plow has a pretty large percentage of rye grass.
