These 3 talks are seminal works, in relation to some sort of 'intellectual', and social reform in the world of Islamic 'scholarship', and academia in general. It's what has long been needed, as an antidote to what can often be a cultural Islamic perspective , distorted by a self defeating combination of arrogance and ignorance, asquesrading as piety, or taqwa. Most refreshing and insightful.

My dear, the one who rules the contemporary world is unfortunately the moneygod. Henceforth, the predators of finance have seized the Laws, and made their own. They are not afraid of Sharia or anything, they turn away the Masses with the Hyperconsumption.

This Man, This Sheikh, has such an advanced knowledge of Islam, AND this secular world,,and he applies it to the contemporary times, just like our Jewish Cousins do. The later applies every incident in Torah to what it means today, and every Rabi at least most do so. With us most teachers say some stories of past on friday qutbah and leave, without applying its meaning to today to improve our condition and that of our Umma. I will be a fool if I say all our shyookh/ teachers do it that way, no not at all. We do have some Shoyookh who apply the principles stated or the morals of the incidents mentioned in Quran and apply it to today. Which is what and how Islamic teachings and teachers should be.unfortunatelyThese type are few. This Sheikh is one among the few. If only all teachers of Islam apply qur'anic principles and teach to the masses also, then WE SHALL RULE THE WORLD, INSTEAD OF GETTING RULED.
