Part 6 💥 Extinction Rebellion Demonstration Water cannon Police Utrechtsebaan A12 climate activists

Extinction Rebellion (XR) blocked the A12 near The Hague for the seventh time since 12 noon on Saturday. The demonstration, which lasted more than five hours, was a protest against government subsidies to the fossil fuel industry. The police have arrested a total of 1579 demonstrators, 40 of whom are being prosecuted.
Demonstrators walked onto the A12 next to Malieveld around noon. The police stopped most of them before they could reach the tunnel pit, the intended location. Several water throwers were used frequently and demonstrators were rounded up during the afternoon and taken away in buses. The police report that 1579 climate activists have been arrested, 40 of them may be prosecuted later. Among those arrested were actress Carice van Houten and actor Sieger Sloot.
- Activists who may have committed criminal offenses will be transferred to the police station where their case will be further assessed. According to the Public Prosecution Service, this concerns, for example, 'defacement, vandalism, insult, incitement, resistance, traffic-dangerous behavior or violence'. The police also report that an officer was bitten during an arrest. This person has been arrested for assault. The officer is being treated for his injuries.

Was leuker geweest dat de politie hun busje verbouwde met scherpe punten en dan vol gas de menigte in reed net zoals die zombie films!! :D En daarnaast vind ik het fout dat kinderen ook mee worden gesleurd, je ziet een moeder met kind op nette manier wel gezegd worden dat ze moeten wegwezen. Kinderen onder de 18 hebben hier nog niks bij te zoeken!

ik vraag me af hoeveel mensen van hun een rijbewijs hebben of een auto of dat ze vliegen of telefoons hebben of dat ze met publiek vervoer gaan.. ik bedoel als ze dat allemaal niet doen of hebben en meer dan prima doe dit.. ik denk dat een zwerver meer recht heeft om dit te doen dan deze mensen die met vervoer naar lokatie gaan
