[60] important points from this lecture: Sher Khan 1:03 Unquestioned master of Bihar Though loyal to Mughal, he was planning to expel Mughals Got help from bahadur shah Large efficient army Defeated bengal King-compel him to pay 1300000 Dinars Humayun matched against Sher Shah and besieged chunar fort Sher Shah invaded bengal for a 2nd time, captured gaur(capital) Humayun had 2 options-attack on Gaur(bengal) or consolidate his territory He attacked on Bengal Tried to establish law and order Sher Shah went to South bihar New problems of Humayun-younger brother Hindal assumed the crown himself in Agra Rainy season, harrying attacked of afghans Humayun managed to get army back to chausa near buxar Kamran advanced from Lahore to agra to quell hindal's rebellion Humayun was still confident Humayun's defeat- battle of Chausa 7000 mughal soldiers killed Kamran 1000(troops) refused to help Noone helped Humayun Took shelter at court of Iranian king Recaptured qandahar and kabul Romantic life of Humayun Went from riches to rags and again rags to riches
