Is this on a Yamaha V-star 1100? And is that the Neural Start Switch unit? I'm looking for a video on how to remove or bypass the Neutral Start Only System so I can either just pull in the Clutch and start it, or if I need to push start it I can... Otherwise I could get run over or cause an accident if it stalls at a Red light at a Major intersection!! My brother had a 2007 V-star like the one I'm looking to buy and he had that happen to him and the sun was out and he couldn't see the Neutral light and the traffic lights changed to Green and he couldn't get it in Neutral!! He got rid of the bike! I heard that it can be bypassed, so I am interested in getting the bike because he said it was a great riding bike and very smooth on the back... I will just need to fix the 4 or 5 problems with that model and then it should be a Great bike... So Please let me know if this is that part and if not can you Please send me a link to the video of the removal or bypass of the Neutral Only Start Switch?? Thanks

Splitting cases, does the switch need to come off to split cases? I don't want to strip the screws, lol. I haven't tried to apply any heat, or locate my impact screwdriver(haven't seen since the last move)

when you took this stock switch off, was there engine oil behind the switch?

I had the bike drained but if you're concerned, just lay it on it's side.

Jake Littlefield For future readers... lay the bike on the side as he mentioned. That's what I did and no oil came out. Used the Tokyomods block off kit on mine.

i have a ttr 225 electris start and i cant start mine in gear and it doesnt have a kick start would this work for me casue on the trail at times its annoying haveing to find neutral when ur stuckl on a hill stalled out

Helps the bike to start easier. You can over rev the bike in neutral without it.

I doesnt matter. You're not going to hold it WOT for a very long time until you notice you're in neutral. Happens quite often on my yz125.

When did you ever say how and why to eliminate the neutral switch? Better starting? WHY? And what was the reason YOU removed it? The audio was unintelligible. I played it six times. Something about water?

PanamaSticks Better starting because the neutral switch robs the spark plug of a few volts. You'll notice easier cold starting as I did on my yz250f. That's the reason I removed it. He said he removed his because he had the wire hanging and accidentally stepped on it ripping the wire off the switch.

Do you know if i can remove the pin and spring like this on my Redcat 110cc atv? It's a 2 wire switch/plug that has 2 metal moldings on the inside of the plug. It's not allowing my to start by the electronics so i have to jump the solenoid to start. I can't find a switch to replace the broken one so i need to bypass it..please help me...

Mate i have ninja zx7r 2002model having problem to start some time it starts but some time it doesn't i changed foot stand censer also gear selctor censer it was working fine for few weeks then started to play up again im so fed up saw your video can i bypass the gear censer ? saw your video but you didn't mention about the wiring the two wires if i could join them with out censer would bike will start ?? I dont want to short circuit ECU I dont mind NUTRAL light on all the time as long bike will start Also bike wont start with out NUTRAL LIGHT ON Please any one guide me thanks

Uzi H prevents you going to fast in reverse but if its broke, it wont let the quad go high rpm in nutral
