I don't think Kim was talking about the way she raises her sons. I think she was trying to say that being a mother to black sons made her passionate about improving the justice system for black men and making the country better for them to live in.

Sally Harrison But we’re not cops. They’re Biracial so they should be referred to as biracial in everyday life. It’s ok to say that if they pass as black they are treated as black but that doesn’t MAKE them a black person. There DNA is 50/50 and consists of 2 races so they should be referred to as what they are. One drop rule needs to die. This is why people like Halsey and Cardi B think they’re black

No one saying Kim’s in the wrong for saying she wants her biracial children to feel safe. Lonnie is simply saying it’s more in the situation when raising an when it comes to how black, biracial men/boys are treated all over the world, not just America. It’s nice to see women like Kim with biracial children are being conscious of how their children are being treated differently. that they’re educating their children on both parts of their race, not just one side. As there are some women that are clueless. I applaud Kim for what she’s doing.

nina I don’t follow what other people say I go on what I heard. I don’t think Kim said anything wrong, she’s aware of being a mother raising biracial children and the prejudices they may face growing up. Loni just added her part to a very broad topic, that black men/young men face with racism not just the general public but also by the police growing up in America on a daily. I don’t think she hates Kim. I think she’s trying to say black women or none black mothers raising black/biracial young men shouldn’t have to teach their sons how to protect themselves to live in America from racist police or the general public just because they’re black It shouldn’t be a thing as white people don’t have to do that with their children. I think Loni’s just angry about it and so she should be.

See this is what frustrates me with Loni. Just give the girl props! Kim Kardashian is many things, but we have to admit you can see the growth! You can see she’s aware of what’s going on and she’s actively doing things to create change! Yes a lot of black men have stayed calm and still got shot. But that doesn’t mean we don’t need to continue to teach our black boys how to react...etc. and there is SOOO much more that goes into raising a black man than just teaching them about police brutality. Loni just immediately getting worked up for no reason is ridiculous to me. And she only got that way because it’s Kim (and she would NEVER be this hyped in front of Kim). If it was Michelle Obama or Beyoncé Loni would have been so gleeful without criticism! WE NEED ALLIES! We can’t do this alone! We can’t bitch about non black people not understanding what we are going through and then immediately jump down their throats when they are trying. And if someone with as large of a platform as Kim K wants to use her voice to create active change, give her the props! DAMN!

Morgan Binion that’s a good question. Maybe she wouldn’t but that we will never know. However there is no age where we stop becoming aware of issues until it hits home. For example, many see school shootings and say it’s sad and the next day they move on. But it’s the parents who take their kids to school everyday who live with the fear that it could happen to their kids. It would be worse if she didn’t have concerns or want to be proactive, HAVING a black husband and biracial children.

There's a difference between black and biracial children. The experiences can be very different. The one drop rule doesn't apply to us because it wasn't coined by us. Her being aware is big tho. Not many have the will to do so.

daniella x unfortunately, when your not connected or exposed to certain things you don’t take initiative to learn those issues on your own. It’s about culture exposure. So yes if her family isn’t exposing them to other culture issue it’s a big deal to them but I can say they are culturally aware of their ancestors past. That’s with any culture or race not just the Kardashian’s

What bothers me about the Kardashian’s though is that I have heard Khloe say “we don’t see color in our family”. That’s a lie, because you only date black men. Of course you see color, if you didn’t you would date a variety! It’s as if with them, their friends and significant others HAVE to be black. That is definitely seeing color. They have a taste for black partners, just be honest and tell it like it is. What I think people don’t like about the kardashians is how they lie. About that, about their cosmetic work etc

Building from what Kim said there is a difference between the experiences and treatment of affluent/rich/well-known black men and an “average” black man. Her sons will likely rarely ever experience anything negative regarding their race because of who their parents are and their environment but hopefully they use that influence to aid in changing the treatment of black men who don’t have those luxuries.
