G we can surmise the time of D based upon Rigor mortis. This happened early morning. 6 hours for full R yet when S was in the garage where he placed Maddie in the trunk she was still floppy and movible. So It must have happened at 4-6 am. She probably told S she was leaving to go live in the woods and he snapped. Exactly on the day AFTER her 13th birthday. Her timelines and time limit. She had had enough. She was leaving. I think. Jmo.

Ex Funeral director here. I find it interesting the position she was laying in when found seams to match her legs being semi fetal the position as she would have been when seated in the car and her head slumped to the left when rigor set well in.. I really don't think she had been dead that long when he placed her seated in the car. While it can take some hours for rigor mortis to set in, it is common for some stiffness of limbs to happen in the first 1-2 hours. It would have been difficult for him to have seated her in the passenger seat if rigor was well advanced. I am guessing it was closer to morning time he placed her in the car. Makes sense he would have wanted her out of the house before anyone else awoke in the house and to get the hell out of the complex with her as early as possible before Jen or anyone else staying in the apartment awoke. He sure had balls not placing her in the trunk to start with, especially when leaving via the security guards at the gate & returning with her.( why the hell did he return with her) She must surely not have been very obviously discolored when he was driving her past them, though the hoodie will have concealed her face somewhat, it can't have been that well if the cameras picked up her mouth being ajar. Another observation, teachers & friends stating she was always tired at school? I really think he was sedating her. I wonder if this time he went too far and discovered she wasn't breathing when he awoke that morning & panicked. He sure didn't have any pre planning. I don't think he actually unalived her on purpose. He knew damned well he couldn't claim she OD'd herself with his DNA all over her as there would have had to be a post mortem. Thanks for all you do Gisela , having worked in the funeral industry, responsible for police removals for many years, true crime is still a passion .

I posted the same conclusions before I saw this post. I believe this was an irresponsible accident. It is still a homicide and - a result of abuse - extremely serious - a capital crime. he could have saved her, taken her to a hospital. Yet, he chose to see himself as the victim and, instead, attempted to cover his tracks. I know for certain that he shouted at her and told her" It doesn't matter what you want." He dressed her, got her into his car, threw away her school computer and backpack, and then drove around trying to decide what to do next. Fetal position? It's failry clear that she had died in the morning hours.

1 in 4 are SA’d, I think most don’t know. Has your husband ever been alone with your kids? See my point. Everyone trusts their partners. The best thing you can do is read lots of books to your child that teaches them what to do if a pedo tries to trick them. Also use correct names for “private” parts from birth on. My two year old knows all of her body parts already. Pedo’s like to make up cutesy nicknames for those parts. It’s part of their sick fantasy. Also in court they can be prosecuted if the child can correctly name their body parts.

@blockhartinabox4 ай бұрын
I mean, they can.. I've seen it happen, sadly. When a person becomes so despondent and depressed and completely overwhelmed and just on the edge about to jump, they can basically just shut down their emotions, almost like a power off button, and their mind does it as a survival mechanism. Bc you won't kill yourself if you literally can't care about anything, and you basically become an empty shell. I know that's hard to understand for most the population how that's possible. Trust me, that same person who was a loving, responsible, protective parent probably would've called bullshit on the notion before it happened to them. But it can and did happen. Now I'm NOT saying this is what happened with Jen Soto. NOR am I saying that we are ever not responsible for our choices and actions, regardless of whatever internal struggle we have going on. Because we are responsible and accountable, no matter what. And we have to live with whatever consequences may come from those choices. Just like Jen will have to live the rest of her life knowing that her daughter is no longer here, and she's the one person who could have prevented her death. Whether or not she lives that reality out in prison or on the streets is yet to be seen, but honestly it will be the same for her no matter what. She will never escape that reality no matter what she does to try.

FYI RE: Appearing to be “sleeping”. Most of us pretend to be sleeping while this is happening. Firstly, because they usually start up as we’re falling asleep or after we’ve fallen asleep and we fake that we’re still asleep to avoid interaction. Secondly, because we dissociate as a coping mechanism. We keep our eyes closed and check out. I have really weird memories because of places I’d go in my head while it was happening. I will probably never know all of what my step dad did to me because I got that good at dissociation. Sure, she may have been drugged, but looking as though she’s sleeping should be expected.

Maybe he was heading to the lake when he got a flat tire and panicked and decided he needed to dump the body in case anyone stopped to help him. If he got a flat driving onto the property behind the bamboo trees, there would be tire fragments on the side of the road where her body was found, not across the street in that pulloff. Very lucky for the investigation. It would make a lot more sense that he intended to dispose of her by feeding her to alligators than just dumping her out in the open where anyone could find her, and then just claim she ran away. I know he's not very smart, but it seems like his car was headed in that direction when the flat tire happened.

My theory is we know maddie stopped taking her medication almost a month and a half before stephan came back. He said he helped her get ready for bed that night which INCLUDED giving maddie her medication. I think in the past he was over medicating her to get her knocked out (he was assaulting her while she was asleep in many of the photos). On this night, he attempted to over dose her as he normally did but bcuz she had been off her medication almost a month and a half so the dosage was too high for her body to handle

As a parent we know usually we want to know what is going on and enjoy meetings with teachers. That woman this case has really had me crying. All these cases upset me but I found myself crying in the car today...i just can't stand the thought of that happening to Maddie and her mother says she is going to put her out of the house at 18 or 19. That's just horrible i can't imagine Maddie being a kid in trouble all the time... they don't mention it...i just hate that she had to go through all that. I think during trial we will see Jenn was not capable of taking care of herself let alone being responsible for another life. Not all women are mother's these days. Jen's defense attorney will find a way to make Jen a victim, probably starting in her early years, this will all be societies fault, her boyfriend's fault, it won't be Jen's fault, she will be painted as a fragile, week minded, abused in all ways......
