you could just tape the seam you cut when getting your foot out and then fill the duct tape shell with some sort of hardening putty or foam and then you would have your lasts. seems easier than all that other stuff

GReat idea. Have you tried? I am thinking maybe epoxy? Although epoxy might melt duct tape as it heats up. Ormaybe make foot silicone mold and then use epoxy there. What kind of hardening putty are you suggesting?
