I'll say this again: the number 1 duty of parents is to protect their child. This woman's parents let her down. No two ways about it. No justification for bonding with their daughter's abuser, while at the same time discarding their own daughter. Let's not sugar coat the toxicity of the parents in "they were worried about society's perception after the marriage breakdown". End of.

To Susan, you deserve to be celebrated, if you went through all that and yet you have the courage to come up and share, you have slot of grace over your life. You're such a beautiful lady. Even your smile tell how beautiful your heart is. That abuser needed his eyes checked. Only a blind person can say otherwise about your beautiful. Also Incase God gives you the desire to marry again, you're still young and your Adam is still searching for you. God will cause him to locate you. Keep up with your faith in God.

She's saved on his phone as mom 2 🤣. I've never met her but I am so grateful for the genuine love that she shows my son! Unajijua mom! You've been so kind..co-parenting is not for the faint hearted. But I also try very hard to encourage my son to have a relationship with the dad because that's his dad. Hii safari ni Mungu!!

“What will people say?” “What will the neighbours say about us?” At times parents focus on what people think about them as opposed to what is good for their children. We are so blinded by maintaining social status and image, we would rather die that allow people to see us at our worst.

Susan's story is almost like mine. Our parents modeled wonderful family life, gave us good education but forgot or neglected to school us in reality that there are evil people in this world and one of them could be our spouse! I've been divorced for 27 years after 13 years of marriage from hell. He still pokes his devilish nose in my family life. I live in California and he lives in Washington state with his MISTRESS-WIFE. Demon-possessed people are all over the world in every society. We must IMPART WISDOM to our children.

This story is so twisted. For the first time, I want to see the face of the aggressor because he is a "normal" guy who dresses up and goes about his business like the professional that he is kumbe he's a wife-beater. Kudos to Susan for laying bare her pain and weaknesses. She didn't listen and take him seriously when he said he wanted to have children with her or maybe she equated that with wanting to marry her. There are strange twisted people out here, but there are also strong and beautiful souls like Susan.

My marriage ended a few years ago, during the initial stages I forecasted all this and saw it as good to avoid all commotions and just let the mum live with my son who was just over a year old, I knew the deadbeat will not take care of the child and would just take the kid to the grandmother. It happened, I don’t get to see my son, neither do my relatives, to avoid all these commotions, I just pay his school fees, don’t ask about him, and don’t talk about him with the relatives - to avoid commotions, I just picked one relative who is a pastor and update her when I have paid school fees, I have avoided all daily requirements to save my sanity, just the fees I pay directly to school & update the relatives with receipts. My son deserves a happy home even if it’s not mine.

Secondly you are still lovable get more kids we women have powers in our hands but hatujui.my sisters from central borrow idea from luo and luhya women a child belongs to the father we don't question that Incase of a divorce or a separation. You did the best but he was never in love with you my sister.it was the main reason for his wearied behaviors.he doesn't have the same problem with his second marriage. @@blessingsnoel1729 kindly stop preaching that ugly line immediately! The fact that you are treated like animals (being made to part ways with children you are attached to) in your cultures does not mean everyone should accept that retrogressive behavior! Most abuse to a child happens when the mother has been sidelined from a child . The mother gives birth to a child, and there is a Law in this Republic to that effect that people fought so hard to put in place (why are you rubbishing it?). What this lady is not saying here is that the magistrates were BRIBED by that narcissist (it happens a lot in these courts), otherwise she ought to have had her kids. This is what I call courage. Very few people in your profession and background would share such a story publicly. I’m astounded by the judicial process dealt out to you. In London it’s a no brainier, just by the virtue of the childrens age they would have automatically been left with the mother and the husband would have been asked to vacate the marital home

What you are describing is not common in the african culture, but it's very common in the western culture to side with the mother, unless there's evidence that she's unstable and incapable. In her case with tangible evidence of domestic abuse, that guy would be somewhere behind bars. And then with divorce comes spousal support which would stop if the woman remarries and child support would stop until the kids turn 18. I wonder if he would have remarried if he was held accountable for these dues!! She could also sell her storyline for a movie with Lifetime or Hallmark. networks.

@@synthia-marlonm2138 please speak for your own country, don't lump the whole of Africa in there, because where I come from children less than 7 almost always go with the mum and if the kids are older than that they then consider other factors and decide accordingly.

That guy tormented me I have never recovered, sometimes I feel like my body is numb I can't feel anything 😪. This has given me the courage to keep being strong for my girls. Someday I will be brave and come out to tell people about my life.

Susan is such an amazing person. May God continue to heal and restore her soul through the work she does selflessly for others. Her life story made me cry for all she went through in the hands of this naccissist man. Her children will grow up and they will make their own decisions and pray they become good husbands to their wives. I am asured you have raised gentleman that will forever love you in all their lives. God will continue to bless you through your children.

It is my theory this man just wanted what his deceased friend had. It could be extreme jealousy against his friend or hatred. Whatever it was, it was the same bad energy he showed this woman and his friend’s son. I pray you and your family are guarded against all kinds of evil. What a formidable woman you are!

Susan, we thank God for you. You were able to break free from an abusive marriage, you will be fine. God in his mercy, will watch over your children. Your life is getting better and it will be well. Your strength and refuge is God and he never disappoints. A few years from today you will by law, have reclaimed your children. God will take care of you. Your children will turn out well. God will turn this whole experience to your good. Just wait and see.

In South Africa, children are open about co parenting experiences to their peers and friends. I know it's difficult but I hope with time Kenyans ladies (from a global perception) will also accept co-parenting inconveniences so that the children will suffer less. I feel for you Susan, may the Lord uphold you and our children.

Finally the kids will come back to settle with their mother reason being she has a good base argument for the reunion for life. This question from kids to their father is very heavy "" what did our mother really do to you """ this question will set the kids free from jail. Finally this why I distance myself from any court related matters because there is no justice anywhere apart from our God YHWH. May the Lord continue giving her strength.
