In Boy Abunda's interview of Sen Imee Marcos-Manotoc, she acknowledged that there were rumors going around in the past that "Little" Aimee, as she was called then, was either her daughter or her brother PBBM's, and Sen Imee proceeded to say that Aimee is actually a daughter of a cousin (never mentioned the name but was actually revealed in a newsbit in the recent past) on the Romualdez side (Aimee doesn't have an ounce of Marcos blood, quite obvious kutis pa lang, and shape of the face, but is obviously very much loved by them) and Sen Imee's father the late former PFEM didn't want to embarass people and admit Aimee's origins because it would delve into the circumstances of her birth, which most likely was out of wedlock. That was in the late 70's to early 80's still very "scandalous" a situation at the time, more so for a close relation to the nation's First Couple. And since nobody really dared to ask the then First Family regarding this controversial matter, it was left at that, may apo ang First Couple, she was nicknamed "Little Aimee" and the speculations and gossips went on for decades. What amazes me is the closeness and chemistry between these two, resulting to such a "comfortable" interview, despite having an age gap of several years and apparently having lived separately while growing up. Personally I think the three children of the former First Couple are closer to their Romualdez relatives than they are to their Marcos relations.
