I was not expecting the drill ! 🙂 The grommets are a great solution and restore confidence that it's not going to separate. Hopefully Ironman send you something as thanks for solving their problem. In the end I guess you get the best of both worlds - arguably easier setup with the velcro and strength with the grommets. Nice. Tucking the power pack into the pocket seems simple but much better than trailing wires. Thanks again for all the effort in posting a follow up review so promptly. Cheers from NW BC.

lol I met you in denver when i picked up the rhino rack. Thanks for letting me grab those ratchet straps from you btw lol . Im actually doing my ironman lift and awning currently!

Wonder if canvas snaps would hold up well enough and save the effort of putting somthing through the grommets.

Would you pick this awning up if you already had the Rhino-Rack Batwing awning?

hard to say, depends on how often you think you'll use it, perhaps. This is definitely an upgrade with the hinges and lights, but the Batwing is still a good awning, with arguably better walls.
