Partial hip replacement Vs Total hip replacement- which is better?

I'm 68 years old retired person with sound health. In 1982, i met with an accident and fractured my right leg. It was my neck of the right leg femur which got fractured. At that time, hip replacement surgery was unheard of. Therefore, the Doctor had to operate at the neck of the femur section and planted two steel screws there. However, during this operation he has shortened it by ½". During all these years I carried on without much any problem. But during this winter of 2022, i felt severe pain in my spine which receded with the approach of winter. I don't know if it's hip arthritis. Please let me know if I can afford to face such surgery at this age. Also, kindly mention the cost of full replacement of hip surgery in your clinic.

Thank you so much for clearing doubt .. actually rite now i am admitted in kokilaben hospital Mumbai...avn grade 2B in right hip joint... severity in walking... don't know why he recommended bipolar hip replacement though he is 35 years experienced....but I won't go for it... hope you would have in Mumbai so that i could have operated by your hands😊
