Do you need ffs to fish a dimiki rig ? And what size hook and how do you not get snagged in that tree with the dimiki rig? Bring it over top of it ?
@SBFishing4 ай бұрын
You don’t need ffs but it’s extremely helpful. I’ve caught quite a few not looking at the screen. Big fan of the 3/32 1/0 range roller or hover rig. With the crush city freeloader it still sinks quickly because it’s loaded with salt, and has a very natural action in the water. Give it a go!

What leader length are you fellows fishing? Thanks Matt.
@SBFishing4 ай бұрын
I usually go 12-15' or leader. Fish it down until the leader doesn't hit the spool anymore or needs to be changed.

Frozen water bottles, not straight ice, bagged ice can have lots of chlorine. Just a suggestion

I find it odd that the fish that died was DQd and not just a penalty. To me i would thinkthat would make people that kill them just throw them away instead of weighing them and catching another one

I am wondering what model zodias you were using for your jig head minnow and which rod u like better the zodias or expride
@SBFishing4 ай бұрын
6’9m zodias for the jighead minnow. It’s been killer for me, barely lost any fish at all and can still bomb 3/32 jigheads as far as I need. Feel like it’s easier to make the bait move the way I want it to as well. I really like both. Expride may take the cake though, as I’m a bigger fan of cork handle. Both rods are excellent.

@SBFishing4 ай бұрын
It's a 1448 semi V, not sure of the make though.
@raydalton11104 ай бұрын
Could you please let me know the exact 500gph aerator you use, also your cooler i saw it on amazon, is it spill\splash proof ? Because a regular cooler cheaper coleman i use when i transport minnows inside my van it splashes every where from water moving back and forth from lid, thank you brother
It happens dude sometimes fish will get head slapped too hard I’ve had that happen before where a 5LB fish kills a 3lb cause it’s tail slapped it too hard in the head. But a 5LB would’ve had to have multiple smaller fish at same time do it definitely possible

That Bass was probably tougue hooked and you guy's didn't catch when being boated but it was an awesome fishing day 👍

That sucks! That last 2 tournaments I’ve done I’ve had one die each time… might just be the summer heat and stress out. last tournament the smallest one we had died literally on the way back to the ramp somehow still won that tournament tho lol
@SBFishing4 ай бұрын
Congrats on the W! Sucks killing fish for sure, and this time of year is definitely the toughest on them. How deep are you catching the fish?
@emz76384 ай бұрын
@@SBFishing it really depends what lake we’re at, a buddy and I are doing the NJ bass nation high school tournament series and most NJ lakes top out at about 7ft so we’re forced to fish shallow all day but 2 of the tournaments we’ve actually done so far that actually had some depth to them lol, we caught them dragging grass ledges with a jig or senko in 12-15ft and a dropshot here and there
@emz76384 ай бұрын
Caught 20.5lb for 5 on manasquan reservoir which is one of the other lakes we won at and that’s also the other tournament we lost a fish, weighed 4.40… sucks

Facts, I’ve never seen it either
@jonhudgins77984 ай бұрын
A shame that people don’t understand that we put a huge onus on fish care in our events. We very rarely have dead fish, if everyone was allowed even just one fish weighed in dead with a penalty, that would be a disaster if every team did that at every event, we may have had maybe a handful of dead fish in 10 events with just about every team weighing a 6 fish limit. I think that’s pretty good!
