can anyone reccomend similar songs to this? Its like no genre i've heard, feels completely orginal, a mix between film and electronic (a bit like M83) but then some other peice of spice i can't put my finger on...absolutely adore this!!!

You are right, it is quite unique. Reminds one a bit of M83 too. I can't think of any perfect matches, but the feeling of gradual and slightly sublime buildup reminds me of the far more well-known "song": "Zack Hemsey - "Waiting Between Worlds (Instrumental)"". But still a bit different, slightly less abstract and a bit darker - though about 35% into that track, we gain the same feeling of rekindled hope. Search that exact title on youtube if you are curious. :)

That sequence was one of most pefect sequences ever made in a movie. I heard it first time, and combined with that sequence I felt like I was seeing god.
