I love the color of and the style of her hair. She is such a beautiful, disciplined woman at 80+. I've heard her story over and over, and never tire of it. I love that she always looks sharp and is very lady like, and is always a mother first and foremost!

When Shirley Jones said 4 sons & 12 grandchildren she must've count david's 2 kids cause Shaun have 7, Patrick have 2 & Ryan Have 1 & that is 10 so she must've think of beau & katie has her two grandkids that is 12 she is a very gracious lady to count david's 2 kids has apart of her 12 grandchildren!

Amanda Hunnicutt. Yes your right. Originally when Shirley and David played as Mother and Son on the Partridge Family. Neither knew the other were applying to play in the Partridge Family. Shirley as She stated, She was the first one casted and then Susan Dey. According to David he went in to do a short screen spot. Back then they would have them do a short plot to see how they got along with the others. David was going over what they wanted him to perform with the "Mom". He just didn't know it was Shirley. As David was going over it, Shirley had walked into the room. David asked her, what was She doing there? She replied She's the Momma. Shirley asked David what was he there for? He replied I'm trying out for the Oldest Son. According to David, he and Shirley had talked about whether or not they should tell the Producers, that David was her Stepson? David felt they shouldn't. ( I think it was because, David wanted to get it on his Own, not because of who his Father was) Shirley states that the Producers called her off to the side, and asked her, What did She think of her Stepson? She replied he is a really good actor, he's been on several different shows as a guest Actor. They asked if there might be any problems? Shirley said, no, David a really good young Man, he's very respectful. Shirley asked them why, where they asking her, about him? ( probably to go along with what David wanted) They replied he is applying to play the Oldest Son, Keith. Shirley replied, I think he will be wonderful. Then Shirley and Keith did the little part they wanted them to do. David said there was another Actor who was trying out for the part too. He said, he didn't get the call that he got the part until 2 or 3 months later. David being the respectful person he was, the person who had interviewed David about this. Asked him who was the other Actor? David replied, I don't remember who it was, and if I do, I'm not going to say. I don't do that. When David was told he officially got the part. He told his Biological Mother, that he had exciting news to share with her. And he has something else to tell her, that might upset her. David shared the news he got the part. His Mother was thrilled for him. Then she asked him, what would she be upset about? He told her Shirley was playing the part of the Mother. David's Biological Mother did get upset. She was really concerned what the paparazzi's would say? She asked David not to call Shirley, Mom any other place than on the Partridge Family. David promised his Biological Mother that he would make sure that none of the Magazines would refer to Shirley as his Mother. He promised his Biological Mother that he would not hurt her, the way his Father did. David went and spoke with Shirley and explained about the promise he made to his Mother. He asked Shirley if they were being interviewed or on a talk show, and if they referred to them as Mother and Son, would She please help him, because he didn't want to hurt his Mother. Shirley was very understanding about that. Infact Shirley went to do an interview with a journalist. The Woman gave Shirley a lot of credit for raising 4 young Men in Hollywood and they didn't get in trouble like a lot of other Young Actors. Shirley immediately said, well David is my Stepson, His Mother gets the credit for how good he is. The journalist replied, We know David's your Stepson, but you treated him as you treat your Own Sons. Shirley replied that's true, but David's Biological Mother gets hurt, when She reads or hears that journalists call David my Son. So out of respect for David and his Mother, I try to correct it before they print it. David and Shaun got really close. And when their Father passed away, Dave got closer to Patrick and Ryan. When David's Biological Mother came down with Dementia, Shirley, Patrick, Ryan and Shaun were there to help David during that hard time. Do you remember the show, "This is Your Life"? In 1993, David's 3rd Wife Sue helped them to trick David into believing he was asked to perform on a Show. One David and his Wife showed up at the Hotel to sign in. That's when the Host of the Show popped up and surprised David, telling him they were doing a show on him about his success. It was around the time David and Shaun were doing the Broadway Show "Blood Brothers". They have the show on You Tube. I think you will enjoy it. David's Biological Mother had shown up of course. And Danny showed up and so did Shirley, you could see how proud Shirley was of and for David and Susan Dey showed up and of course David's Brothers showed up. Wait till you see how excited David was that the three of them showed up. And David's Son who was about 2, he showed up. David was so proud of him. The same show "This Is Your Life" did one in honor of Shirley. She thought the Partridge Family was doing something for the show. When the host came out to Shirley and said "This is Your Life". Shirley's Husband Jack was there. When they introduced the Children, they did announce David Cassidy, the Son of Jack Cassidy from a previous relationship and then they brought out Shaun, Patrick and Ryan. ( wait till you see how young they are) then they brought out the Actors and Actresses of the Partridge Family. On February 14, 2018, Shaun was performing at a Casino. He spent about the first half hour talking about how much David meant to him. And how happy the Family was that David came back to them when his health started really failing. He gave a Eulogy in Davids honor. You can tell how much he loved David. Someone had posted that they saw Shirley, ( I believe the day David passed) they said they could see Shirley was upset. Someone asked if She was ok. She replied my Son David, just past. Someone else asked Shirley how was She doing? Shirley replied I still can't over the fact My Son David passed away at the age of 67 and I'm 83. One last thing, very few People know this. The actress who played Tracey on the Partridge Family, had passed away in May of 2015, 2 years before David. She had some kind of heart problem. She was found on the Kitchen floor. Her Birthday is April 27, 1963. Danny had posted, everyone thought I was going to be the first, instead it was sweet little Tracey (Suzanne). Shirley also posted something in memory of her. I hope you get to watch both "This Is Your Life" and the piece Shaun did in honor and memory of David. Did you Guys hear that David had to Auction off his favorite Mansion, that is located in Palm Springs, Florida. Two of Davids fans purchased it. They rent it out for $25,000 a night. There's 6 bedrooms, so if you can get 6 Couples, it will cost a little more than $4,000 a Couple a night. There's lots of pictures of David through the house, there's a built in pool and towards the back of the property is a dock that leads to the Water, if you or friends have a boat or jet skies, there's lots to do. It's kind of Private too.

Didn't care about the Partridge Family when it was new, could care even less about the nostalgia associated with it. I fell for Shirley as Marion the librarian in the Music Man. Check out Lida Rose/Will I Ever Tell You? for an amazing experience. Or better yet, watch the whole movie.
