On average how many hours or how long should a John Deere 300 series or the newer GX series last

Longevity in terms of hours on any machine depends on proper maintenance, willingness to repair, and good ol fashioned luck. That said, we regularly see 325, 335, 345, and GX series machines in our shop with well over 1,000 hours. The most I've seen on one was an early 90's 325 with over 2,200 hours.
