There’s actually a published novel that is entirely in kayfabe that is literally just about Kane’s backstory, and it includes Katie Vick. However, there was zero necrophilia involved. It’s been a really long time since I’ve read it so I’m a little fuzzy on the details, but if I’m remembering correctly, after Paul Bearer joined WWF, Kane was on his own for the first time, and he tried his best to live a relatively normal life. Katie Vick was his girlfriend in like a “beauty and the beast” kind of thing, and then she died in a drunk driving accident and Kane basically exiled himself from society until Paul Bearer brought him into WWF

Here's the kayfabe timeline of the whole thing. Undertaker's parents owned a funeral home that Paul Bearer worked at. Paul had an affair with Taker's Mom, and then Kane was born. Taker's Dad obviously never knew Kane was really Paul's, so he raised him as his own until the fire happened. At this point the story gets a little fuzzy but essentially Taker is off doing whatever he's doing while Paul is raising Kane in a new funeral home. Paul and Taker get back together and Paul offers him the chance to start wrestling under the tutelage of the Million Dollar Man. Paul is still raising Kane during this period. When Paul Bearer joins Taker in WWF/WWE , this is when Kane is by himself for the first time. During this period of 1991-1997 is most likely in kayfabe when the Katie Vick thing would've happened. That's the best way to make it all make sense lol.

Underrated part of this booking: This also gives an actual psychological reason for Kane to betray Taker during that Memorial Weekend betrayal where he rendered Undertaker catatonic. He could theoretically use this as, when he hugged Shawn Michaels, he knew he could strike for revenge. That Taker only held Vick over him when Taker was more powerful than him and therefore when Taker no longer had that power, Kane could finally obtain vengeance.

The funniest part of this whole damn thing? Kane technically didn’t even murder Katie. He committed involuntary manslaughter, which is killing someone on accident. Which can likely only get Kane charged for criminal negligence thanks to him driving under the influence. With the necrophilia claims being unable to be proven unless directly confirmed or denied by Kane. Triple H can be sued for false allegations of murder and necrophilia. Along with defamatory statements against Kane thanks to that disgusting video. Kane is for the most part. A victim.

Some booking ideas: - the end of the Authority (actually giving them a definitive finish other than just them kinda quietly ending) - the Awesome Truth (who had a promising start, but just fell apart after Survivor Series. Would be interesting to see how Adam makes them a credible threat for months on end) - Cody Rhodes heel turn in AEW (starting after the Malakai Black feud to see how Adam works in a Cody heel turn) - Muhammad Hassan (someone else mentioned this, so I’ll just add to the votes.)

So William Moody was 13 years older then Glen Jacobs, so let's say Paul Bearer is 19-20 years older then Kane. Paul Bearer was the young apprentice at Taker's parents funeral home, but Taker's mum seduced him. Paul takes over the business when the parents die because Taker is too young.

If you want some ideas for new episodes, I do have a couple ideas. Rebooking the Kabuki Warriors since while it did have it highs, Kairi Sane got the ever loving hell beaten out of her for the last 7 months of that run. Rebooking Undertaker vs Shane McMahon in the leadup to WrestleMania 32. I still have no idea what that match was about other than a mysterious box. You could rebook The Ultimate Warrior's or Diesel's WWE championship run since a lot of people craped on that. If you wanted to try AEW, you could think about rebooking The Dark Order after Brodie's passing. They have pretty much become an afterthought now. I hope one of these is good enough.
