TEMPEST: Hi all! We've got a lot of great feedback on Rise and Fall series and I would love to keep doing these little retrospectives on other promotions so if there are other promotions you want to learn about let me know in the comments here and make sure to share the video around so we can keep making them! Thank you all again for getting us to 200,000 last weekend as well, your support means more than you know!

Would love to see one on Lucha Underground. That show/promotion was a big reason why I and a lot of my online friends got back into wrestling or started to explore other options outside of WWE and the journey of it's peak popularity to it's death and now sort of rebirth in MLW is so wild I would be very intrested to see you do a video on it.

I'd love to know the full ins and outs of NWA/TNA/IMPACT! I saw a little TNA back in the day, i know of their biggest stars like Styles, Daniels, Abyss, Aries, Joe Bully Ray etc but i don't really know anything much about say, what caused Jarrett to leave in the first place, how they managed a big boom in the late 00s and why they were on such shaky ground for most of the mid-late 2010s. It'd be an interesting tale.

2:42 Yeah, but didn't they have Steen as World Champ for close to a year around his time? I know Cornette is divisive and all, but outside of maybe failing to strike when the iron was at its hottest on some guys (Tyler Black, Davey Richards) his influence on booking wasn't nearly _that_ problematic to ROH. Frankly, I think there were far more severe issues with ROH's talent exchange with NJPW if anything. Hopefully those can be touched upon on Part 3. Apart from that, good video! I like these series of vids with Tempest.

Cornette had this Horrible Problem in which he build his Company up while tearing down the other companies he work with in his Commentary and he force that style on the Other Commentators like Kevin Kelly and even Nigel to a extent (It's the same problem with the very Early Problem ROH Shows like The Era of Honor Begins). While that might work in the early 90's for WCW, it's doesn't work for a company that was at the time the Third Biggest Company in Wrestling. It's actually the same problem that AEW and the Hogan's Era TNA has as well.

I stopped watching ROH in 2011. Other than getting older and having less interest in wrestling, I was frustrated with the multiple problems with their iPPVs, as well as taking too long to put the title on my favorite wrestler on their roster Davey Richards. By the time he won the championship I had pretty much stopped watching. I also didn’t want to keep spending money to keep up with their product, back in those years it took a lot more effort to stay updated with what they were doing, back then I was only accustomed to watching wrestling with a weekly show and monthly PPVs.

Great video but there was one point that was well off the mark. Supercard of Honor in 2018 was kind of a failure all things considered when viewing it through the lens of competition with NXT. TO: NOLA is widely considered not just perhaps the best Takeover, but one of the best wrestling PPVs/specials ever, and there are so many accounts on social media (including videos here on KZbin) with people who attended Supercard regretting it & wishing they had went to TO instead.

I went to All In. Made me love wrestling again after WWE disappointed me in a time where I was going through a lot of negative change. Mother passing away, moving to another town which meant I had to give my cats up for adoption and transfer schools. Overall, my life sucked in most of 2018. Until I went to All In. Which is why I feel especially betrayed and heart broken that Cody went back to WWE after he proved to me and 11,263 fans in the arena that night WWE wasn't the be all end all, yet he STILL went back on Wrestlemania.

Sorry for all your tough losses during that period and it is lovely to see an example of pro wrestling given someone hope during a bad part of their life (I have my own story in 2018/2019 with that). However, while it is okay to feel emotions (it can't be helped) in the moment, in the same way it is okay for Cody as his own man with his own obligations/responsibilities (especially as a father to a newborn) to make the decision that he feels works best for him. Pro wrestling, while it is an incredible art form, is a business and Cody made what he believed to be the best business decision. It's wrong to parasocially project on him like that and be disappointed in him & judge his decision on his personal life like that.
