Matt..fyi in the Xmas tree arnel use the name of the plaster mold. You add slip to the mold and three object is formed. They then fire it a coupler of time the last which is the glaze firing. My guess is someone went to ceramic class and 🎉 got the unfired piece glazed it.. Probably a hobby ceramist. Arnel molds are vintage and company has been closed for a while now.

Hey Matt, great content as usual. I was curious on how you go about listing your products. I always try to stay with the higher list prices so as not to water down. It just seems like people are constantly undercutting cost. Would you recommend waiting for the price to come back up if the sold comps are still sometimes selling in the higher range? I just achieved top rated seller status.
@PartTimePickers4 жыл бұрын
I definitely like to stay at the higher end of the sold comps. Then I just wait. A lot of new resellers will list low because the want to see a sell. I think having patience is a big part of being successful. Just keep listing and over time the sells will start coming in.

I enjoy watching and learning from your videos but I am not always attracted to the same kinds of stuff you buy. I don't like a lot of seasonal items, for instance, because if I don't sell them in season, I just have items to add to my death pile. I have a $125 artificial tree back up for sale now for only $25 and its the THIRD year in a row. So for me, I tend to steer more toward stuff I know can be sold year round. That said, if the price is right...as clearly it was in this video for everything you picked....I'd likely still buy it anyway and just be patient until it sells. But Matt, as successful as you are, I do want to ask why you continue to buy low profit items that force you to sell maybe 10 items to make $100 profit when you could just pick up that one ceramic Christmas tree, sell it, and make 50% more money with less investment and less work? Maybe I am a snob when it comes to picking but I'd rather pick up 3 items that I can resell for $100 or so each and make $300 or so profit than haul home, sort, list, sell, pack, and ship 20 items sold for $15 each to make the same $300. Could you do a video on why you still pick up the cheap, lower profit stuff instead of "moving on up" to the bigger profit stuff? It just doesn't make sense to me but then again my goal in life was never to work long hours for low pay! Thanks. Bill
