Matt, you could write the book on successful flea market picking. 1. be a regular ....so they remember you from last time and feel you will be back again. 2. Dont haggle (too much);;;;sellers see that you trust them and wont want to cheat a regular. 3. Make friends....this goes a long way no matter what you are doing.

My wife and I are finnaly off on Saturday and Sunday nights now working Sunday and morning day shift, told her we are going to start doing this going to Flea Markets and Yard Sales and getting stuff for us and Sale stuff... We are both on Soecial Security work part this will be good even if we can make enough money for the Car expenses Insurance, car shield, gas, it will help us out

Was wondering the same thing so I looked it up==o you have to pay income tax on the stuff you sell on eBay? The answer is yes - depending on how you ask the question. If you ask, "Am I legally obligated to pay income tax if I make money selling things on eBay?" the answer is an unequivocal yes. IRS Fact Sheet #FS-2007-23, "Reporting Auction Income and the Tax Gap," states, "all income from auctions, traditional or online, and consignment sales is generally taxable." (There are exceptions - occasional garage or yard sales don't have to be reported.) However, the IRS goes on to qualify that by stating, "Some people sell a product or service online as a hobby. This income generally must be reported" [source: IRS].

We try and sell it even if it means lowering the price but sometimes we do donate items that end up not worth listing. It’s the chance to take picking up items sometimes.
