That's a nice secret ingredient for sambar. I used to grind coconut+fennel seeds and add it the end. But coconut+shallots is new. I'll try it out. By the way, coconut +shallots can be added to only tiffin sambar or also for rice sambar?

Hi Priyameena, commenting on ur vlog first time. I see every lady in the US raving about the Instantpot but have never seen you using it frequently. When other ladies would have made that sambar in an IP, u used our indian pressure cooker. How useful is an IP for our indian cooking and do u recommend one or our pressure cooker would suffice? TIA

I too use that..but I use it mostly for steaming..i prefer pressure cooker..its just individual preference..
