My sister in law used to work in the book shop this was based on. She quit on the morning when the boss set them a challenge, it was called, "Find the shi@", he'd had a crap somewhere in the shop and the staff had to find it! She quit on the spot.

Love that show so much. It's fun to show people and it was a blast to find your channel! The reason the series ended was for the simple reason that Dylan Moran didn't want to do it anymore. I love that english shows are more likely to do that than american LOL Looking foward to going back and rewatching this through your playlist! (Even though I have them all on DVD LOL)

The three principles all had massively successful and growing careers outside Black Books, so they just couldn't make another series. Possibly hard to believe, but this was a bit of a hobby for them.
