I think a lot of tier list content is viewed as "lowbrow", but tier lists allow for a solid overview of strategies and helps put into perspective how strategies interact/contradict each other. Especially the way Voyix does them so thoroughly. It really reminds me of the type of content Otzdarva does for Dead by Daylight.

Kinda looking forward to a class where it specializes in charming enemies where they can attack their own allies and themselves, dispelling, spawning temporary characters, etcetera. Just an idea though.

30:30 the reason that the 999 runs in blurstra ran mountain primarily is because vessel gives permanent blessings that persist between loops, so people would try to get as many vessels per loop to permanently boost their power. That's how I got to around 600

Actually the cursed modes are weird, you are only ever offered the same 3 parties in all of them Basic, force and mountain. Mountain was the only one that had a green so that's what you would do, you would also try to get a blessing that adds a second green and a blessing that let's you level up twice in one floor. That would sometimes let you get 2 vessels in a single loop

As a mountain enjoyer, the big trap with mountain is thinking your T2 blues is the more important pick. I find T2 greys is the pick you really want to be conscious about, you want greys like Warden and Knight who can cover for the team's weaknesses or cleric for more mana support, choosing a grey like armorer or guardian is just gonna leave you in a bad place a lot of times

ive been playing 2 orange 2 grey 1 red on custom party after rolling that on a strays run, it feels so strong, probably the strongest non blue custom party u can make, particularly good against bosses because survivability + poison, you have to plan for the hand which is their worst final boss match up, this is the team that gives me what defensive/mountain promises and fails to deliver

My worst RNG party I played was blue and 4 greys. I died to inevitable but tbh I'm surprised I even made it there LOL. I would have won too if I didn't super low roll. Also while I was doing hell attempts, I saw RNG give me a full magic party. Unless thorns is somehow restricted from showing up, then presumably an early game thorns is just an auto loss there. So arguably you can never click RNG in a streak if you already used your reroll (although you probably shouldn't click it in a streak regardless).

I swear, I've been trying to get a win with Magical (RRBGO) on Hard for the longest time now, and I just can't get past fights 10-15. The second a high HP enemy shows up, any team I put together is boned. The farthest I got revolved around some lucky Juggler + Sphere rolls for cantrip damage. I was like, "I must be missing something." It's some comfort to know that an analysis of possibilities confirms how difficult that team is. Only got Mountain once and it was similarly disastrous.

Yes you can slow fight the hand! with sufficient revives and death defies :D Also reroll parties have an easy time vs the Hand, but harder against the other bosses. And tainted is very good vs Hexia, at least I've never gotten a curse from him that out-weighs the 4 poison side. I think your prefered style does colour your opinions. If you like relying on RNG, oranges become better, and if you set up to play slow, the Hand is less scary.

I did have a blutra mountain run where spamming death defies was decent idea. But also had like +2 heroes blessings and a bunch of hero choices. Died to not finding Wine Bottle in one of the loops.

I wanna chime in for fellow my Mono Choose Party enjoyers, All Red is good, all Blue dies to Thorns and Hexia, all Grey is decent, all Green is Housecat, and all Orange and Yellow is just Force.

I don't know why, but while looking through the item and seeing tier 0 to -7 i think i have an idea of new class and it's called rust. And the purpose of this class is more or less like a double edge sword or something like that. One of the example is like a tier 1 that has zome sort of wretched crown and favor of horus... Wait that's too taxing, or something that has 3 faces of 1 damage with rainbow keyword in a tier 1 and the placement of the face is just as weird as possible so no glove and it would be funny if there is someone that has +99 item slot(max 4). Yeah, something like that? I guess? Well a class that could utilize tier 0 to -7 item would be interesting isn't it?

I haven't lost with Magical yet so I think it's pretty good. Flex (especially Flex Orange) on the other hand I avoid like plague. It's just cursed for some reason, I died 3 times with Flex+Orange and won 0 times. Currently I'm rotating Cisab/Basic,Greens,Force,Magical for my streak attempt, all the other ones are too risky.

magical definitely has some dead openers that can just kill you at the start of the run, like student start and 2 bad red upgrades as your first 2 can leave you unable to kill bramble depending on the curse

Only tier 1 green that sucks imo is housecat Nothing against the fella but getting tier 4 generates that you'd sooner quit your run before picking them just feels like it negates the entire point of having the cat

Part of cats value is hitting T3s early though. For early game his sides arent actually that bad, and then midgame he gets you T3s early. Plus you don't mind sacrificing him because like... hes a cat

@@luketalbot2643 Yeah and while I agree with that, I also think it sucks for the same reason Your party gets to be better equipped to stomp through the early/mid game and then you get to the end game and get shown a choice of r1.201 and some other crappy generate with 2 sides: 15 Heal and 5 Heal mana gain 😁 I think I'll keep my fate or surgeon instead, and that happens like 9/10 times

Thank you so much for this video specifically. This was my largest weak point in slice & dice overall. While I can win streak(8w) with basic on normal, and do even a couple(2-4) run winstreak in hard with basic it just simply isn't fun to play the same thing over and over. Glad to have input on other comps. I think this video is kinda like LegendOfTotalWar's videos comparing the strength of stuff, its all relative and the focus of how we play the game and what we are looking for changes how useful this information to us is. For people looking to have more fun playing this game with unique parties this is useful. Thanks!

if you like playing other comps i highly suggest you do because it's fun, but i think some comps have hard lose condition, and most of the hard lose conditions are named the hand

I have come to stand in defensive's defense. I disagree, but I respect your stance. I think that your points are valid and honestly mostly correct. I think it's a very consistent winning team just the same. I want to say here, I am not in the mind that you play too fast. I agree with your playstyle and analysis of why. I just like a team of red, red, grey, grey, yellow that happens to be named defensive.
