That's the name of this movie! I saw it back in the early 90's. We owned a little video store so I watched basically everything that came in on a little black and white TV in the back, while my parents worked the shop. There's this cheesy movie called Horrorscope about a guy who calls an evil Horoscope line. It's one of those films that tried to take itself seriously but failed at an epic level. If you ever get around to it, take a look. It's worth the laughs at least.

There were still a few in the early 1990s in rural Colorado at least. I worked for US West nearby and company talk was that we’d just dumped the party lines to a government-subsidized company that upgraded them to better phone lines than most of our customers had, with modern European-made exchanges and I think DSL. Quite a change!

wow!! this takes me back. i had my own 976 number as teen in the 80's. i worked at a comic book store called geppi's comic world during the huge 80's comic boom and i did a 976 number detailing the release dates for marvel, dc and indy comics. i also put out info about when and where the cons were going to be, the best time to get limited run comics and figures, etc.

I remember the late night commercials for party lines on cabal channels as a kid. We would stay up and watch USA up all night and see them. They seemed have been replaced by ads for Adam and Eve these days.

Lmfao, that shot of the band in the club, is the biggest audio/visual goof, i've ever seen in a film!! Lol, especially with the closeup of the female lead singer clearly not singing, while we hear the voice of a lady singing!! 😂😂😂😂😂 Also, that Miss Cleo clip was pretty hilarious, too. Man, with this, & his role in Cheerleader Camp, 1988 was a very bizarre year, indeed, for Leif Garrett,!! Lol!!

Shout out to Vinegar Syndrome, which is restoring and preserving all kinds of crazy cult classics that no other company would think to restore. My personal favorite is Candy Snatchers, which you couldn't find anywhere before they released it on blu-ray. But it's a bit darker than most of the movies covered on this channel; folks around here might like Cutting Class, Graduation Day, or Frightmare.

5:15 That "first bullet is a blank" is an oldie; they used it in the Republic Captain America serial from way back in the forties (although it made more sense with a revolver than it does with an auto - if you wanted a live round, all you had to do was turn the chamber).
