Welcome to the Voiceplay rabbit hole! I imagine you'll be getting a lot more views and subscribers just from those of us who like watching people react to them - we love our boys so much and we get a kick out of seeing new people discover them. They are normally a group of five, but they are currently down by one, so they have been bringing in featured artists, both men and women, to sing with them, which really adds to their range of possibilities. One who has been with them for a couple of songs recently is a former member named Mykal (Michael) Kilgore, who sang with them on Be Prepared and Stand By Me. Mykal has been singing on Broadway for the last 20-something years, so you know he's good!

Voiceplay is an absolutely amazing acapella group. They don't have a particular genre. If you can think of it They probably did it. They are independent and do everything themselves from start to finish except intricate makeup, cameras and audio mixing. They are based in Orlando FL and all have performed in Universal Studios, Disney World or both. They have been together since 1997 but under the Voiceplay name since 2012. They are known as both The Theater Kids of Acapella and The Kings of Halloween because of their love of dressing up and performing. From left to right.... Layne Stein - beatboxer, baritone, arrangements. Eli (el lee) Jacobson - tenor, rock tenor, lighting, arrangements. Omar Cardona - guest, tenor. Cesar De La Rosa - baritone, tenor. Geoff (Jeff) Castellucci - bass, arrangements. Geoff also has a solo channel where he uses instruments and sound effects. He clones himself 3-4 times for harmonies. Each with their own name, personality and range.... Jeff, Jeoph, Goff and Daryl. Voiceplay and Geoff released their Christmas videos last Friday, the 6th. Voiceplay.... Zat You, Santa Claus? Geoff.... Carol of The Bells (low bass version). Anything you choose to watch on their channels you won't be disappointed.

really didnt know the clones had names too??! unreal
@jackyfriedman1963Күн бұрын
@@AwomKenneth Yeah. Jeff, Jeoph and Goff got their names 2⅐ years ago when Geoff did "Way Down". The names where supposed to be a little funny on the way people misspelled and mispronounced his name. The patreons made them permanent. When he did "Ghost Riders In The Sky" he needed a name for his 4th clone. He liked the name Daryl. By having names it also makes it easier for Geoff to decide who is going to sing what parts. Jeff is tenor and sings most of the tenor parts. Goff is also a tenor but is a backup singer. Daryl is a baritone. Jeoph is a bass. "Unshaken" is just the clones. It is the sequel to Ghost Riders In The Sky. This is the best one to tell who is who.

Voiceplay is completely independent, but they have done two sponsored videos this one and another I can't remember a couple of years ago. They did another song from this game, Sleeping In The Cold Below. WARFRAME got in touch with them immediately and asked them to do this one. Subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay.

They've done candy crush, Honkai star rail as well (I think the honkai star rail was last year). I feel there have been some mini sponsored videos.

Oh you're in for a treat going down that rabbithole ❤ VoicePlay is so talented and their arrangements are amazing, they are compeletely independant, so no need to put something over the video 🤩 You can't go wrong with any of their catalogue 👍🏻 It's a capella, the only instrument they used so far in 3 videos of theirs, is a violin (which is played by Layne, the beatboxer). They are around since 1997 👍🏻 Geoff Castellucci, the bass, has a channel of his own, which he started when covid shut everything down, there it's not a capella, he uses instruments and sings ALL the harmonies, he's our five-octave freak of nature 😂❤❤ Hope you'll dive more into their music 🙏🏼

I'm glad you liked VoicePlay's newest release, because there's SO MUCH MORE good stuff where that came from, and I'm looking forward to see you react to more of their songs. Whether you're in the mood for more video game song covers (Halo theme, Valhalla Calling, Sleeping In The Cold Below...) Disney and Broadway-style (Hellfire, Be Prepared, various medleys...), something funny (Drunken Sailor) or something else entirely (anything from Metallica to Elvis, from Billie Eilish and PitD to Queen), they do EVERYTHING and they do it so damn well! They're independent and reactor-friendly, so if anything happens like youtube auto-detecting or flagging something, dispute the claim and get in touch with the guys.

For a real switch up that gives you a better sense of who each of the guys is, check out their cover of Stand By Me. It's the most heartwarming thing I've seen in a very long time. Their featured singer, Mykal, is not a member - but was, back in the very beginnings, before he went off to have a successful Broadway career. VoicePlay does a lot of game covers - you might want to listen to Halo - if you do, listen to what they have to say afterwards. Powerful stuff. They're one of my favorite groups, they'll keep you surprised with their arrangements. Another "shocker" for no instrumentals - check "Nothing Else Matters." It's an incredible cover. Literally unbelievable.

You will never regret following Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci on their channels. Subscribed for more Voiceplay and Geoff Castellucci. This video was commissioned by the game Warframe. So it is not typical of Voiceplay, aside from them being able to do any genre of music that they choose to do.

Interesting I will look into it

No instruments! On very rare occasions VP will use a violin (only 3 times so far) but you will always see it when the beatboxer plays it. Earlier this year VoicePlay did a cover of “Sleeping in the Cold Below” from the original Warframe. The game developers saw it and asked them to cover a song from their new update (Warframe 1999) as a ‘90s boy band. It’s interesting that you commented on their various looks as that does fit but it just so happens that they do look like that. The main change is the face prosthetic makeup. That has something to do with what is called the ‘infestation’ in the game. I hope you listen to more of their music. They do a great variety of genres. Lots of great music IMHO

#TheaterKidsOfAcapella. Welcome to the VoicePlay and Geoff Castellucci (bass) rabbit hole. They're an independent group who do most everything themselves. Arrangements, filming, editing, lighting, sets, props, costumes etc. They cover everything from Metallica to Disney plus much more. Enjoy the ride.

Voiceplay in my opinion, are the best a cappella group. Makeup, prosthetics and theatre are a big part of their work. Though they have some brilliant covers where they keep it seemingly simple. .. ive subscribed in anticipation of more Voiceplay and subsequently Geoff Castellucci (bass) who has his own solo channel.

VoicePlay are known as the "theatre kids" of acapella. They cosplay their videos. This in particular is from the game Warframe. In the game, there is an infected boyband singing this song. The makeup in this video represents being infected.

VoicePlay did Sleeping in the Cold Below early this year. It was from WARFRAME (game). Warframe loved VoicePlay so they contacted them to do this for their 1999 update of their video. The pizza is part of it. Don't need to worry about Copyright strikes with VoicePlay, they have no bosses and do just about everything themselves. In this case the makeup production people were called in for the forehead prosthetics. VoicePlay has done a few video games starting with Halo back from high school, Dragonborn Comes Skyrim, 2 now from WARFRAME, a Geoff solo (long hair - low bass) did Unshaken - a Red Dead Redemption 2. They've done Disney (Be Prepared, Little Mermaid, Frozen 2, We Don't Talk About Bruno, Hellfire), some major rock songs - Carry On Wayward Son (Kansas), Warriors (Imagine Dragons), Dream On (Aerosmith), Seven Nation Army (White Stripes), Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), In the Air Tonight (Phil Collins), Tennessee Whiskey (Chris Stapleton), Total Eclipse of the Heart, I Can't Make You Love Me (Bonnie Raitt), The Way You Make Me Feel, Man in the Mirror, Thriller (these 3 are Michael Jackson). Wicked, If I Were a Rich Man/Girl, Running Up that Hill (Stranger Things), Greatest Showman, and so many more to choose from.
