Talking never does it, for a short time it convinces people they have come to understand something of great significance. But the glow and hit people feel has no shelf life, it's no more relevant than listening to a motivational speaker. Often it makes more confusion as the treadmill seeker goes looking for the next new kid on the block to get the hit. The new age social media gurus..most are just intellectual discourses and the description is never the described. J,krishnamurti an advanced soul, spend his whole life giving talks and it's doubtful if even one person had an experiential direct experience of the "self". Most of these discourses are at best mere voices of entertainment. Put one's toys aside and in earnest spend long periods of time in silence.. watch the only movie worth watching..... is one's own movie....

Very well said, thank you. I've been attempting meditation, I lack the self discipline to see it through very often. Do you think meditation is helpful to find answers to what life is all about?

Hi! In the approach I or Francis take, meditation is not really an exercise in discipline. It is simply being aware of awareness itself. Whether the mind is calm or agitated, one can be equally aware of the one who is experiencing it all. This one has no real qualities or dimensions but because that is very difficult to understand it is often referred to something like "empty space of awareness". Then the question arises, why does it matter to be aware of awareness and to meditate that way? It is because peace, love and joy are inherent features of our deepest nature like wetness, transparency and liquidity are inherent features of water. Once we look into it we start to feel being that more and more. That is how effortless love comes into being and life is usually gradually transformed into something inexpressibly beautiful.

We can't stop conceptualization with more conceptualization. It's when we realize and observe there's in fact a thinking mind trying to understand everything through concepts, and when we understand that concepts alone only represent a small portion of the whole spectrum of the human experience. Through the last generations we've placed so much importance into thinking, that we completely identify with the thinking mind and we get anxious whenever we can't predict the future. And that's because now we can't conceive that the concept is just a tool, but hardly could explain the whole experience, and even if it does, it wouldn't matter at all.

i like this guy. Rupert is too stuttering and copying off his friend, Bernardo. But this dude speaks from his Being

Rupert Spira is brilliant. I love Bernardo as well, but they are too very different people who agree on some metaphysical concepts . I thoroughly enjoy listening to both of them. Spira has the ability to explain complicated concepts to the average layman. He is wonderful at coming up with an analogies to get his points across.
