We'll be making a similar trip next week for my daughter's birthday! Went to Oceanside Wednesday. Thankfully the water was in the 70's as in my excitement I left my bag with my shortie and all the rest at home. At least I brought my board and board shorts LOL. Oh well - still had a good day! So nice the shelters are finding home for these animals and that you are able to help them with your art!

I'm surprised you managed to surf such small waves. How many liters does your board have? I have a 75l longboard (7'8") and I think I wouldn't be able to ride such small waves. I think my board would be too heavy...? Anyway, I loved the vlog.

It was tiny!! The board I was riding is an 8'6, it says 64.4 L online but feels super buoyant because it's epoxy. I've ridden my 7'2 in similar conditions, takes a bit of paddling but I think you can do it! Here is the board for reference: us.nspsurfboards.com/products/longboard?variant=43309683507438
