Recipe, in english: i tried my best to put it in order, but it varies slighty; I put the ingredients in the beginning and recipe after: =====Ingredients===== =Sandwich= 1/4 cabbage 1/4 teaspoon of salt 30 ml of vinegar 1 tablespoon of olive oil 1/2 teaspoon of sugar 4 eggs (for soft-boiled eggs) 2 eggs (for more hard-boiled eggs) Four slices of bread (to toast later) Some mustard (she uses both dijon and regular mustard to spread on the toast) Four slices of ham =Soup= 1/4 onion 1/2 clove of garlic 1/2 tomato 1/2 a slice of bacon (her slices of bacon are pretty big tho) =Yogurt= Some yogurt and fruit (she used melons) =Milktea= (She does not specify the how much of each ingredient for the milktea in this video, but it looks like she puts in about 2 tablespoons of tea leaves?) Tea leaves Water Milk Sugar =====Recipe===== ==FOR THE SANDWICH== Slice the cabbage finely (look at vid). Mix 1/4 teaspoon of salt with cabbage and let it sit for a little bit (she puts it in the fridge). While the cabbage sits in the fridge, prepare the ingredients for the soup. Dice 1/4 onion Mince 1/2 clove of garlic Cut 1/2 tomato to edible slices Cut 1/2 a slice of bacon (her slices of bacon are pretty big tho) Once finished, set the ingredients aside. Time to prepare the eggs: 4 eggs (for soft-boiled eggs) 2 eggs (for more hard-boiled eggs) For the soft-boiled eggs: once the water starts to boil, keep the eggs in for another 5 minutes at medium heat. To make sure the yolk comes to the center, occasionally stir the eggs while they boil. When they are done, puts the eggs in an ice bath to make sure it doesn’t continue to cook. Cook the hard-boiled eggs for 5 minutes longer than the soft-boiled eggs. Time to return to the cabbage. Take it out of the fridge, and remove the water from the cabbage (by squeezing it). Add 30 ml of vinegar, 1 tablespoon of olive oil, 1/2 teaspoon of sugar, and a little salt and pepper to the squeezed cabbage. Mix thoroughly, then refrigerate for about 30 minutes. While the cabbage refrigerates, Crush the hardboiled eggs for the egg-salad. Once crushed, add 2 tablespoons of mayo and little salt and pepper. Mix well. (She adds more mayo at this point because she likes it.) Now we will focus on the soup. Add a sufficient amount of olive oil into a saucepan. Sauté the garlic, let it simmer, then add the bacon and onions. Cook for a little bit then add 450 ml of water. Add one cube of bouillon. Let it stew for a little over medium heat. Finely chop some parsley. Remove the scum at the top of the soup. Continue to let it stew. Add the tomatoes and add some salt and pepper. Let it stew. Have a little taste then adjust for salt and pepper. Put them into bowls ==PUTTING THE SANDWICH TOGETHER== Toast 4 slices of bread. Take out 4 slices of ham Spread a little bit of Dijon and regular mustard onto a toasted slice of bread. Place 2 slices of ham on top, then spread half of the egg salad mixture on top. Place two soft boiled eggs on top of the egg salad mixture. Place half of the shredded cabbage mixture on top. For the other piece of toast, spread a sufficient amount of butter on it. Place it on the other slice. (She wraps it up to make it easier to eat.) Repeat for the other sandwich. After letting the sandwiches sit for about 5 minutes, cut the sandwiches in half, then place them on a place. Sprinkle some black pepper and parsley for garnish. ==FOR THE YOGURT== Get some yogurt into a bowl Add some melons Refrigerate ==FOR THE MILKTEA== In one pot, put in tea leaves and water until the tea leaves are steeped enough. In another, boil some milk. Add the contents of the first pot into the milk. Add sugar, then let it continue to steam (?) hope this helps?? ;--;

Ok so I'm deep into Quarantine™ and watched this video and craved for it so much I decided to make it. And HOLY SHIT: it's DELICIOUS If you're pressed for time, you can just substitute the egg salad with cheese and mayonaise and a little pepper (w mustard if you like) and just open up some miso soup for a filling side. Note: You wanna be very hungry before you eat this sandwich. :) But what you want to spend time on is the: pickled cabbage w sugar and soft boiling your eggs, and maybe 5 mins toasting some good bread. You don't necessarily have to use parchment paper, but it does help when you want to slice your sandwich in half, rather than just the plastic stretching everywhere. I think the bigger the bread the more filling it'll contain and it'll keep the thick eggs in, my bread was way too rectangular and couldn't hold in all the cabbage. It's so worth it, and absolutely perfect. The pickled cabbage balances the richness of the soft egg, mayo and cheese, and the crunchy buttered cheesy bread on bursting egg yolk textures are amazing. I'm normally not a mayo with eggs type of person, but it hit the spot just right. SUPER DELICIOUS AND FILLING!

@poopietray7144
@poopietray7144 4 жыл бұрын
@@KinOskNw Plastic never decomposes, so when you use plastic wrap it will stay forever in our landfills, wilderness, and oceans. Animals eat plastic and get cancer or die, smaller pieces of plastic are eaten by small animals and organisms like krill and then bigger animals eat them and then have plastic in their body. Clear plastic like the one used to wrap the food in the video are especially dangerous because they are thin, clear, and break into smaller pieces easily.

That's what I always think to myself when watching these cooking videos, people use stuff like that so casually, even for the smallest most random dishes, a little plastic foil to wrap something here, a little paper towel to dry something there, the thing is, you need to eat every day, and this sums up. This is the type of stuff that won't change the entire world and solve the enviromental crisis but it's THE LEAST WE CAN DO. To be aware. And maybe go back to basics sometimes, think "How would grandma have done this, before there was plastic"

@@arkhoykoy4103 I've been to Japan and I've even visited a Japanese recycling plant. Yes they are very organised which helps them recycle a much greater percentage of the waste they collect, but the goal is to *reduce* how much waste we *produce*. Japanese people wrap literally everything in plastic so it's no surprise that Japan is the second largest generator of plastic waste per capita after the US. 美味しそうですね〜ハムは丸いままでなく半分に切って切り口を外側にして中央に半円を向けると、耳までハムがある状態になりますよ〜

My boyfriend and I are separated by continents and now by Coronavirus. I don't think we'll get to see each other for aother 12 months at least :( I always say I want to do simple things for him like make him lunch. When this is over I'm going to make him this amazing sandwich. I miss how small kindnesses mean so much. Stay strong everyone x
