If I do the 2018 cylinder, do I have to buy the head?

I am working on a 2004, and it seems like it is all the same. In this video you use a new Cylinder Head, Cylinder, and Piston. Is it pointless to replace everything but those? The Cylinder head is not even close to as black as the one you removed, and the Cylinder is still just fine.
