It's great to know that you're reviewing movies here being a legendary writer of yester years. But honestly, if all the changes that you've suggested were made to the movie, then it'd have become one of those regular movies that we got tired of watching since ages. The most admirable part of the movie is it's novelty. Adding melodramic scene like crying in front of mother's dead body and romantic scenes etc in between would have broke the flow of the movie. The director intentionally stayed away from those I suppose as opposed to what you opined that he 'missed' the opportunity of adding such scenes.

@Karthiks Gnaneshwar Karthiks Gnaneshwar when you said 'ruined it', I guess you're speaking for you. In general it's not so, it has got almost unanimous critical acclaim and lots of love was showered at Box office too. I don't agree with the last lines also because the movie was intended to be a one man show and it did become one. No character was given any sort of introduction, as in showing his motivation to become a detective from childhood etc and some scene where the hero explains why he hired the girl as his assistant (she's his junior in college) were deleted to curtail the length. You can find them on KZbin if you have not seen already. Movie begins kinda abruptly. Initially it relied on actors but once the second half began the story towers over characters. Maybe that's how they intended it to be. But I agree that the actual story has very less to do with the lead characters in the movie, every scene was leading to the next with characters and their emotions having rather less control.

@@mrietautonomous7994 He narrated a monologue from syeraa in some audio function, one word, cliched!😔 Actually everything about the movie scares me about its fate. Surender Reddy has never done an over the top novel movie. He had disasters like 'Kick 2' and 'Athidi'. Not judging because they're flops, but from the lazyness in his work in those movies, for that matter Sukumar and Trivikram has even worse disasters in the name of '1','jagadam' ,'khalega' but we rever those directors and those movies have attained cult status later ('1' especially) and have never disappointed the fans who knew their director well, their effort and mark was seen throughout the movie. Those movies have never shown any sort of lazyness from their part but I remember being in 'Kick 2' and wondering how the movie could be written so badly, I was so impatiently waiting to get out of the theatre which usually happens with some B grade movie shot by dumb amateur directors.

@Karthiks Gnaneshwar the reason why u might have claimed it as of a bland screenplay is because that u may be having an expectation or guessing some sort of play in ur mind or else u might be a deep penchant of commercial audience pulse movies which we acclaim as the perfunctory concepts. While, i like to contradict you over here as paruchuri gaaru himself speaks that it is way difficult even for a second to take our eyes off the screen because of the teeth clinching story line and if you want a pragmatic reference then u can refer to the IMDB ratings and some of the honest reviews which delivered a heavy applause to the screenplay even. Overall, it is a good movie as per the ratings and as per the audience talks while, there might be some individual opinions failing to meet some criteria like in the case of u because it is impossible to convince everyone but let's encourage all and sorry in advance if it is too disturbing.

I felt more cheated. Because i suspected hero's friend crime reporter would be one of culprit because he is the one introduces this incident to hero. Also he always says an NGO name and says always busy when hero calls him. But he is not culprit. Movies are good when you experience what you don't expect.. An excellent film.

Dear Sir....I respect your experience and amazing work you and your brother have been doing. However, as a novice, here is my perspective on the changes you have suggested: - Finding Mother's body: the movie is so good is also b'cos of the pragmatic narration. Finding a 3 years old body n then crying, will only make it melodramatic, illogical n personal vendetta line of story line. - finding the bigger racket who is behind all this: it would have been easy for the director to do this, but I appreciate him not doing this. The hero solved a minor part of the problem is enough to be called a hero...practical n logical...u don't need him to solve all the related problems....so as per u , he should find the bigger nexus ......first the racket n their nexus, then all the people who are using the fingerprints.....theifs, robbers, murderers, terrorists. ....then people behind these terrorists.......then which countries are funding these terrorists. ....where should the movie end. - "some chemistry between hero n heroine".....request your kind appreciation that every relationship between a man n woman need not lead to be nuptial.....so what chemistry .......they fall in love, then one romantic song bcos it is raining outside, then simple skirmish lead by egos....cant a man n women be just left in a professional, a friendship or a mere human to human relation. You spoke about the guts of the director as he went against the tide of typical Telugu Movie formula (a parallel comedy track, love, emotions, revenge, larger than life heroism)......but I would request your own introspection. ......doesn't all your suggested changes fall in the same "typical formula ".......... Most importantly, how much was your contribution in making this "typical formula" ingrained in the industry. I plead myself guilty for repeatedly watching this "typical formula" movies n in a way encouraging the industry to make such movies. But there a new blood coming who are breaking this formula......lets allow them to break these shackles n we open our horizons to accept these changes. PS: I respect you sir.......n I do not intend to demean you in aanyway.....my onlyintention was to question the thought process n it is very objective.
