I am listening this song, first time, in july 2024, which is released in 2017. I still feel, this song, this video , expressions , direction is still way way ahead of this time.. its so so futuristic.. i m completely blown away seeing this work. Hatss off to makers

Parvaaz I DEMAND that you start releasing English translations. I have never felt so frustrated at not knowing what such beautiful music means, especially when everyone seems to be loving it. I sincerely love poetic music. PLEASE

Okay so this is my interpretation of the video. I do not understand the lyrics but I'll give it a shot. So we have 4 characters: Farmer, His Wife, Working Class Hero (WCH) and His Wife (2). Clearly the Farmer and the Working Class Hero are not content where they are. The Farmer is sick of the scorching sun and the apparent absence of rain. The WCH is tired of his mundane work and home life. So they leave their current situation - Farmer's wife is dismayed but WCH's Wife seems unphased or even encouraging (not too sure about this part). If you'll stop at 1:19 you'll see dried flowers which may symbolize the death of their relationship. The two men meet at a point and the WCH is possibly reminded of himself when he was younger. They sit down and drink together. The Farmer drinks Pepsi while the WCH drinks milk. This could be about what they're both looking for. Farmer wants to get out of the fields and into the city while it's the other way around for WCH. The winding road shows how their paths intersect as they go in opposite directions. The Farmer pays for the WCH at the stall and leaves impulsively to the city. The ID card sequence shows how men in different scenarios all go through the same unrest the farmer is going through. They're all in the same boat together, no matter where they are. The next dance thing is the part where I get lost. Maybe the uniform that reads SECURITY actually stands for security in life - financial, emotional or anything else. You dance to the tune to feel secure until you drop dead. Let's not forget two important characters - the wives. They are going through the same things as each other. Though their paths never cross physically, they meet in spirit. So I guess that's what this is about. You think you're going through something nobody else is but there's always somebody. It could also be about love and having someone there for you always and how easy it is too overlook that. Well, that's my two cents. Would love to hear what your opinions are. Fucking love this band!

Well the dance part is also(i think)about what these men want. The farmer dances with the modern lady who represents the kind of life he is hoping to find while the "WCH", wanting to go back to the life he used to have, dances with the rural lady. Both of these men are the same I guess.

That's a great interpretation! I think the ID Card sequence shows that what the WCH discarded ( the ID card as a metaphorical equivalent of his current state, and literal equivalent of his current job), that the Farmer guy embraced. We see his picture on it when it is zoomed in later. So maybe it means that something about your life which you would like to get over with is somebody's aspiration. There is no absolute good or bad in a situation, it is relative to people and their lives.

The dance depicts that the wives teach the men their respective ways of life - rural and urban respectively. They kind of "program" them.
@ShafafBhat7 жыл бұрын
The video depicts a man who wants to go back to his roots.(Silent call:Him) Whilst young he was dazzled by the city lights and frustrated by the poor conditions (Newspaper headline). The woman reflects his life in both the scenarios. One where his life is simple..and the other one enticing (The tree Dance). Yet, the both choices he makes are impulsive and a change in direction. He achieved what he set out to, but is that what he really wanted. He realises this at the tea intersection..that whilst limited can be frustrating..his village life was “his”..not any borrowed entity from the dazzling city. IMHO

Dudes this band is setting standards for Indian alternative rock I just love the way they write their songs, Vocals is talented Their Bassist is love, although many reference lines are from other legendary composers and bassist tbh, whatever they write sounds beautiful, Being in their live performance is out of the world experience. Keep up the good work guys.

Khalid ...@ Parwaaz...you rock...Your voice and its range sets the Alarm bells ringing ,you have set the new benchmark for music lovers and the makers..the use of urdu and at times Kashmiri lyrics add more spice to the exotic blend of your music and your bassist mesmerizes me ...keep it up..you are a great team.
