Technically yes but no one ever gets one. In fact I’ve had a security guard help me with my light not once but twice!

Do you need a permit to shoot here? Asking for a friends wedding which is on a Saturday

Technically you do. There is a sign that says so. No one ever gets one. Every day you can go there and see some kind of shoot. I have even had a security guard help me hold the light. This applies to weddings or any other shoot. Having said that you have to make the clients aware of what I just told you just in case. But I've been there hundreds of times and not one time have I ever been asked for. I hope this helps.
