Originally, this house was built in 1902 as a graceful, shingle style structure by Joseph J Blick for the Daniels Family. In 1922, the home was magnificently transformed into an English Tudor Revival-Style estate.
Embracing the fairytale essence of the 120 year old English Tudor Estate, inspiration for the foyer came from the beautiful walnut woodwork, elaborate ceiling mural, and gorgeous stained glass window.
The dining room transcends the ordinary with the 25,000 year old Mauri tree table, the hand painted ceiling mural, luxurious upholstery, and silver parquet flooring. It would be an understatement to say the dining room is over-the-top.

The Romantic chambers is a bedroom and bathroom suite designed by Carmine Sabatell a colleague within my brokerage who also owns a design firm. This suite exudes a stately elegance reminiscent of the Great Gatsby era. A monochromatic canvas of deep emerald green envelops the space, from the walls and ceiling, to the bedding and bathroom tiles.

The countertops are a classic calcutta quartz with a waterfall edge on both sides of the stove, and the cabinetry is painted a color called Skipping stones, which is the Dunn and Edwards color of the year and is seen in various rooms of the house.

The Arroyo Vista Garden invites visitors with breathtaking views of the arroyo seco and the colorado street bridge, and just around the corner on the south side of the house is the culinary garden and conservatory.
The Pasadena Showcase House for the arts dates back to 1965, with 7500 people attending their first year. Proceeds from the Showcase House, along with the donations they receive, make funding three annual music programs possible. What’s more, they award gifts and grants to other nonprofit organizations that provide music programs to children in Southern California.
