@@watchnofacee did you watch him 2 years ago compared to where he is now? Sloppy handle, no mid-range game, struggled passing out of double-teams. People just saw how poorly he played vs Boston in the bubble but truth was he was inconsistent that whole season he’s improved a ton since then you gotta watch the Raptors consistently to see what I’m saying.

Siakam is such a beast... He can do it all. Play 1-5, guard 1-5, excellent mid range, excellent passer, excellent defender, etc. The next step is becoming an excelling 3pt shooter. He's still average in that part of his game but I feel like this year he'll become a more consistent 3pt shooter.

He has been somewhat slowly but surely rounding out his game since his 2019 championship run and MIP award. He has gradually started to become adept as a primary creator on offense and especially from the mid-range and mid-post areas. Last season he showed he has developed the vision to punish doubles and force teams to send the help. I'm looking for him to become even more efficient while improving his 3-point shot and ability to create for his teammates. Raptors don't know how lucky they are to have him.

He can only pull up that jump shot from the left hand which is naturally his strong shooting side. Force him to pull up that jump shot with his right hand, and he will miss a lot of those.

these spin jumpers and stepbacks in the paint are nice but it might get to the point where it's expected. If he wants to take it to another level he's gotta work on two dribble pull ups going left and right
@drchef41272 жыл бұрын
But when you combine that with the threat of his skill of getting to the basket it opens up the entire mid-range to basket... AND he's added play making to pass out of double teams... If he can manage the mental he'll be unguardable.

I wouldn't call 41% Midrange Mastery, but Siakam is definitely above league-average when it comes to it. But mastery is on another level. Just looking at the elite of the elite stars that primarily shoot in the mid-range like Chris Paul (56%), Kevin Durant (53%), Nikola Jokic (53%), and DeMar DeRozan (48%) are percentages I'd see as elite.
@alainmesonge69172 жыл бұрын
Lol, if those are elites numbers, then Siakam definitely has a mastery of the mid range.
@Sal-uy6cq2 жыл бұрын
To be fair, this part of his game was totally non-existent before last season. He just turned automatic from mid range out of nowhere last season. It's crazy the strides he make's each season. But not hard to believe considering he started playing basketball at 16 years of age.

Ironic to highlight his midrange when he was iirc the 3rd worst mid range shooter in the league last season. He was absolutely abysmal from mid range. He's great at creating those shots and making space but not so much at hitting them efficiently.

Your memory is wrong. There is no such stat as the worst mid range shooter. infact i dare you to produce the evidence of your claim that he is the '3rd worst mid range shooter in the league last season' Smh at the hate.

Derozen and butler were some of the only players to take more mid range jumpers than Pascal. And he was fairly efficient.. the Tampa season he wasn't as good. But he showed some improvement in toronto this last year..

@@ivar1998 ok even if that stat is true he is good at mid ranges. The other guys on the list can put it in the hole too from midrange so maybe that stat shouldn’t hold much weight cause spicy put in a lot of work from there last season
