The quality of the video and the content provided is of a high level. I recently watched a tutorial on Docker by TechWorld with NANA but some things were still unclear. However, after watching this video, I found it to be more straightforward and easy to understand.

Thanks a lot Ali... A Question: is docker-compose.yaml file, an alternative to Dockerfile for containers and images creation... OR is the docker-compose.yaml file a MUST when using the Dockerfile?
@BoualiAli Жыл бұрын
None of the above. docker-compose is used in case you have many services (docker containers) to run for the same application (exp: Porstgres, RabbitMQ, ...) and you don't want to manage every thing manually (volumes, networks, ...) so you use docker-compose Otherwise you can setup everything manually your own
@devmail4648 Жыл бұрын
@@BoualiAli ooo ok...meaning the earlier setups on the CLI or terminal with Dockerfile was a manual way (thus before introducing docker-compose file )

you can use a full path for example: C:/my/path/for/volumes and as I mentioned, it is better to use named volumes to avoid this kind of issues
