Они оба друг друга раскрыли по-новому. Мне очень нравится, как Павел смотрится в этом дуэте. И Полина в румбе неподражаема! Пересматриваю танцы по многу раз - то на нее больше смотрю, то на Павла - оба чрезвычайно хороши! Павел мужественен и очень галантен, получаю огромное эстетическое наслаждение от обоих! Эта пара внесла свежий глоток воздуха в мир латино-американских танцев. Несмотря на то, что мне очень нравилась его пара с Оксаной, мне казалось, что он не был тогда до конца раскрыт эмоционально. What happened to his and Oxana’s partnership? Does anyone know? They were one of my very favorite couples on the dance floor and in show dance. The first video I ever saw of them I watched it a gazillion times and looked for everything else I could find of them and watched and rewatched those too! They were amazing together and because of that, it’s gonna take me a few mins to get used to seeing this partnership.

Pasha is a lot younger than her and they weren't getting the results that they wanted. They were basically stuck in the semis at major comps. I think she's about 35 years old now and I think Pasha is still in his 20's. She would have only had a few years left with him and they probably would have been stuck in the semis for those few years (aside from this recent Blackpool where a lot of couples were missing). Her career was basically stuck in limbo so I don't blame her for wanting to do something different with the last few years of her dancing career. She'll probably go on a TV show like Strictly or something like that.

Oxana decided to end their partnership. She wrote on her instagram page something like she was very sorry and understood how the fans felt, but she had to move on, to find herself, her priorities in life had changed. I understand your feelings very well, because I was a huge Kirill and Polina's fan. I rewartched their videos probably as many times as you rewatched the videos of your favourite couple, and it was also very painful for me to accept that they had split up. But now I've learned to take pleasure in what they do separetely, even it it's not ideal, I still love each of them. A great dancer remains a great dancer regardless of his/her partner, but of course we wish them the best partner possible. Old fans will always compare what they do with what they did before with some regret. But as the time passes it becomes easier and the new partnerships become just something new, and also strong and beautiful in their own unique way. There is no need always to compare.

@@Maria_Fomina thanks everyone for your comments. I thought they did make the WDC final in 2019 when Yulia and Chocci retired. I knew they had an age difference but it was a very equal partnership. I totally agree that because of my admiration for both Pasha and Oxana that it would take a min for P&P to grow on me. Needing another person to achieve success is difficult in any situation so I’m glad he found someone to go forward with. He looks happy. I too enjoyed Polina’s last partnership so I wish much success for them both and I know I’ll be watching and rewatching them just I did for him and Oxana. Again thank you all for your replies and am grateful for the info and input. ❤️💃🕺🎵👀

I don't know...It's hard for me to appreciate this performance since I have difficulties in feeling rumba rhythm and relating it to their dance :( And when I feel the rhythm in the song, then I hear maybe more like slow waltz, which is somehow disconnected from their rumba dance. Is there some kind of imaginary rumba rhythm in this song that I'm just unable to feel?

@@ficklefialka309 Me too, it doesn't touch me emotionally, though the song is touching but rather complicated to be reflected in the rumba dance. Anyway, I think they need more time to polish the partnership. Overall, I find that they fit each other as partners and I wish them to succeed. They are interesting to watch and have appealing extravagance :)

But I think, everything concerning strong emotions in art is a matter of taste. It's not possible to tell a love story so that it's felt by everyone the same way.

@@Maria_Fomina Certainly, appreciation of art is subjective :) In this case I don't believe them in this dance and then I start analyzing logically why it is so. I want to like this performance, but I can't and this irritates me, so I want to know and understand better about dancing :) But I agree, a matter of taste is a powerful aspect. To me, she kind of overdramatizes her emotions. I like it when it's more subtly expressed. He is too cocky, overall. So, perhaps I feel that there is emotional dissonance between their presentation style and strong emotional charge of the song. In short, I'm not ok with their acting/artistry here.

This song is way too emotionally charged for a partnership with no history. This looks over the top especially after seeing Sergey Surkov and Agneszka’s rumba to that same song few years ago. That was pure art. Should have chosen a different song, do not believe the artistic side one bit I’m afraid. Great rumba otherwise of course.

@Anna Voronezh this struck the wrong key for me too. For such a young partnership, they could’ve chosen a different song, something more relationship affirming and fresh than a lament for a lover. Too dramatic and gives me old school vibes
