#TheBigStory | Landscape architect and urban designer Paulo Alcazaren, along with architect William Ti, envisions 80-90,000 square meters of feasible area for approximately 800 retail outlets in the Pasig River rehabilitation project.
The management of these outlets is under discussion by the Inter-Agency Council, comprising 15 agencies led by DSHUD, with a suggested framework following examples from other cities with specialized authorities for river or foreshore development.

They can keep cleaning the river but it would still be dirty until the informal settlers are relocated. May nakahanda nmn na na housing program for them, but, until then, the water won't be clean enough. Also, the LGUs have to do their part, they have to make sure that the business establishments in their respective areas of responsibilities are not dumping waste, be it solid waste or wastewater, into the river

Sana isang stall dyan gawing show case ng Philippine handicrafts....like may nag actual textile loom.weavers from the Cordilleras, basket weavers , clay pots , native musical instruments etc...para may something interesting mapanood ang mga tourists....wag naman sanang puro kainan lang...n a tourist office to promote the other beautiful tourist destination sa mga local n foreign tourists na pwede silang mag inquire as to location, means of transportation, actual fares to the destination. affordable hotel accomodation etc..w/ free tourist brochures like they do in other countries....

Tama, pag may nagbibenta may kasamang basura yan. Mas madali pa yatang gawin yung infrastructure kisa sa kulturang mahilig magkalat ng basura at hindi pinapahalagahan ang kalinisan. Mahaba haba ang ilog na yan at hindi basta basta madaling imaintain especially kung inaasa lng sa mga cleaners kilangan ng mga lokal o bisita na mag contribute sa paglilinis. Sa Iloilo lahat ng sumusonod para maging malinis ang espalanade kahit hindi ito under ng private sector. Hindi ganun kagara pero maganda parin hangang ngayun at patuloy itong lumalaki. It is better if esplanade vicinity is included in the planning. Like having wide promenades near the esplanade and connected to plaza Lawton The roads near the esplanade should be converted to promenades. The esplanade itself is not wide enough to accomodate the people and having a road near the esplanade make it too dangerous to people roaming around. Only bikers are allowed to use the promenade. In Baku, Azerbaijan many roads are converted to promenades. People use Metro subways. Almost all bldgs have no fences in Baku If the concrete fences of Post Office and the nearby bldg be demolished, the open spaces of the compound of the two bldgs.could be converted to Promenades with beautiful patterned pavements, have landscaping/ hardscaping and plant boxes and have food and drinks kiosk.

sana d lang Pasig river kayo mag concentrate....there are other areas Manila that could be transformed into a tourist attraction n destination..... example is the Ermita Malate area w/c used to be a tourist area before.... encourage the Businesses there especially along MH del Pilar n A.Mabini sts. to put up new n more restaurants , cafes, bars, antiques n souvenir shops,etc....also promote Remedios st.area as Koreatown....another area is the Tutuban Divisoria area where it could be transformed into.a night market selling items at bargain prices like in Hong kong n Bangkok...there is also Paco Park....as wellas the Paco Railway station that vould be transformed into mini Mall w,/ restaurants n cafes n commercial/retail stores n the nearby Robinson's Mall in P,

please give us a quality and classy project not just lightings consider paint color not to use striking color pls, also safety and cleanliness of the place if your intention is for tourism don't just talk but do it with quality just like what ex Mayor Isko's projects in Manila. Just look at what he built in the city of Manila hospital, schools, housing are all quality projects. Remember this project is only an extension of the existing structure also make sure if you intent the place for tourism resto should be limited put more boutiques instead and add some cultural significance of Manila show some artworks, art museum would be nice.

Inter-agency scheme for rehab started during Duterte. I remember 2018 my clients in Environmental na nag panic when the govt cancelled their Discharge Permit exemption at marami na penalty at nagpa install ng wastewater treatment plant-- That was the turning point of the drastic improvement of water quality. Now, the main problem na ay household wastewater. Noon rin nag umpisa beautification ng LGU, tho some Like Marikina ay under Gloria. This Urban Planner made it sound that these started under PBBM. Baka now lang sya aware kasi kami focus sa Quality ng water over aesthetic . I remember marami na ang relocate din sa govt housing during Duterte, kaya nag increase din ng NHA housing at LGU housing projects during Duterte at sure under Marcos matapos. Pwede naman credit him for continuing.

Inter agency. Yung Manila bay nakatiwangwang lang yung "MANDAMUS OFFICE" na Supreme Court na may utos. ang problem sa govt projects after ng term ng nakaupo pinababayaan na lang. Hong Kong is already a polluted coastal country, as far as my visit 4 years ago. Now, why they are still foreigners visiting Ocean Park? Try acting and thinking positively, and I suggest as Filipinos, we can start that by own self, and in doing so, drastic changes will come especially in how you think and perceive things, especially in your own country. Now, have you tried comparing the quality of Pasig River way back in the 80s compared to its current situation? Try not to underestimate the initiative drive of reviving the area as they deserve a vast array of compliments on these gradual changes for our own goodness. We are not there yet, but at least we are moving forward.

ahmmmm. bago magoperate ang building they have to passed the inspection from the lgu kung may treatment plant ba sila. May mga treatment plant ang mga highrise sa manila kase isa yan sa mga requirement.. nasa building code of the Philippines yan... ang nagbibigay lng ng pollution jan ay mga residential houses dahil wala namng treatment plant mga ordinaryong mga bahay.
