A great video of what looked like a spectacular event. There seemed to be a very relaxed atmosphere, even though there was so much going on, and obviously everyone was having a lot of fun. Thank you for the mention, by the way! This festival had some very well-known people attending. I have Marcel Burri's huge Smiley kite for which he is perhaps most famous, but he was flying different items this time. It was good to see such a variety of kites and line laundry. Strangely, one of my favourites was a ground item, the big crab, whose smile somehow I found appealing. I'll try to direct some more viewers to your channel, as this video is well worth watching. Do you have enough material for a part two?

Jim, this was a 5-day event which included competitions and Night flying. I was there only for 2.5 hours. It took me 3 hrs of travelling time to get there from Singapore and another 3 hrs to get home. So I didn't have much time there. But that short duration was very fruitful as the folks that I filmed were all very friendly and obliging. There was a great variety of kites and I think the flyers will have different kites for different days. I love the crab too! Due to the short duration that I had, I did not have more material for part 2. As I was leaving the place, I saw new inflatables appearing in the sky. Wish I had more time there. Thanks for directing your friends to my channel. I see Carl and frankw already. Glen is an old friend.

Very much enjoyed your video. What a perfect day to fly kites and the festival looked well organized with families enjoying the day. I do like the way you had a short interview with fliers. It made the video even more interesting to watch.

The horse and alligator are really huge. The kite flyers are very friendly and happy to be filmed. I enjoyed filming this event. The location is in Malaysia and I had to cross over the border to get there.

@@LEILAARTSPACE I was a visitor to the Kite Festival, not the official videographer. My friends got me into the event field to do the filming. Glad that it the video turned out well and hope that many people will enjoy it. A million views is possible as I've achieved it before. Some of the kite flyers I interviewed created the inflatable kites that were flown there. They are very creative folks.

Glen, as a child, I love flying simple home made kites. Now I don't fly kites, but I enjoy watching kite videos. I also enjoy being at Kite Festivals where I see grown up kids flying small and giant kites, some of which are their own creations.

@@CMChen Chen, you have your videography which is not only challenging but a service to your far flung friends, like me. You would find that kites, especially big ones become lifestyle changing. Better to admire and document, I think. Here, we are getting rain and more rain after a record dry spell. It means more time to mend kites than to fly them. Both are important. Stay in touch and stay well.

interesting... its been a long time I fly a kite. I used to fly my giant sotong, bumble bee, nemo, at marina barrage. Kite festival has not been in SG for quite many years already.
